Polarized voting - I would say this is a surprise, but it's not in this context.
Two things:
1. only 40 percent of the eligible vote came out...hmm
2. the two head candidates don't even represent the 50 percent of the vote that turned out (49%).
To me, this means they should do a recall, and re-vote.
