    And the so-called conservatives wouldn't?????????

In this part of South Carolina, it's a one party system with republicans controlling everything from governor to coroner. Despite that, we had one of the most entertaining primaries, with republicans tearing themselves apart in the primary. The reason I say had is our Supreme Court kicked off 200 challengers in the primary because of a filing error they made.

BTW - the biggest problem we have are the primaries... should be none. All candidates regardless of party run at the general election, with no R or D listed. if that means 12 people on the general ballot, then it's 12 people.... If no one gets majority, top 2 run off.

As I said, there are plenty of Democrats who are deserting their party as well.

Your assertion that the Republican party is somehow disintegrating is without merit.
I didn't say the party was disintegrating. I said the demographics combined with the narrowing Republican base create an inherit advantage for Democratic party in national elections. Hispanics and young people are a growing percentage of the electorate whereas Christian white evangelical males are a shrinking part of the electorate. You do the math.

An inherent advantage? I don't buy it. Prove it.

The numbers in past elections don't back you up.
