yep, because there is absolutely no difference between A/AA ball and the majors. if you can succeed in A ball, you will be a lock for the MLB HOF. this has been proven countless times over the last century+. why did anyone ever doubt you about this.

then allow me to more fully explain my comment, because it isn't bogus at all.

they are playing against MiL pitchers. these pitchers are not as good as MLB pitchers. the ability to hit a pitcher in A ball is not as difficult as hitting an accomplished MLB pitcher. Tejada was bounced from MLB because he was no longer able to hit MLB pitching. yet, you believe that his ability to hit AA pitching is a good enough yardstick to measure his ability to succeed against MLB pitching. hence my comment that A/AA ball pitching is no more difficult to hit than MLB pitching.

but you seem to disagree with me on that since you're supporting the opposite position of mine.

one of us will be proven wrong. you will be wrong if MT doesn't make it back to MLB. or, if he does make it back, but proves yet again that he can't match up against that level of talent. I will be proven wrong if MT returns to MLB and makes an offensive impact for whatever team he joins.

you may have noticed that I didn't discuss Vlad. that's because I don't think he has lost the ability to hit MLB pitching. but he is only a singles hitter.

BTW Vlad's numbers are far from the standard that makes someone a "certain" HOFer. you should look into the subject, you will discover he was a very good player, but not a lock for Cooperstown. MT will probably never make the HOF, because he was a juicer, and the decision makers seem to know that.

He's a terrible defensive player and I think even I could bat .200 consistently. It would be nice if he would heat up and carry the offense for awhile. Especially with Jones and Markakis ailing. We need a run producer.
