Default O'Malley to Campaign for Scott Walker's Foe

Who the hell does that twerp think he is (besides a pawn or organized labor)?

According to The Sun, our boy (the Leprechaun Lefty) will be in Wisconsin tomorrow to campaign for Gov Scott Walker's opponent, in the recall election there. Will "badgers" be so stupid as to listen to the soft effeminate voice of our tax-loving, roving governor?? Then, he has the gall to campaign through New England for a few days. Sickening. Hope he falls flat on his insincere face.

Glad he's supporting Barrett. O'Malley clearly is auditioning for a national role in the Dem party. Hopefully he runs for the Senate and not the White House...

Are you as upset with the Republican Governors who are campaigning for Walker.

O'Malley believes that Americans have a right to organize and bargain collectively -- basic human rights as recognized by the United States in several treaties.

However, it is nice to see that you're not letting hate build up inside you. Letting it out is healthy for -- tasteless and boring for the rest of us but healthy for you.

At least Obama has enough sense to stay away.

Mini-Mart backs another loser....I love it when the clown prince of MD politics steps on the National stage and makes an *** out of himself.

Maybe Daddy in law Joe can strong-arm The Sun into pretending it never happened.

O'Malley just has that charisma that is irresistible. Just look at the influence he has shown outside Maryland. Oh wait...

Does anyone really think that the Democrats expected O'Malley to pull additional votes in this election? Campaign appearances by other national party figures are intended to increase the "star" factor a specific rallies. Your candidate stands on stage flanked by Governors and Senators, sometimes even someone from the White House, and looks successful.

The rabid anti-O'Malley folk might want to remember that they were just as strongly opposed to the Governor before he kicked Bob Ehrlich's butt the second time the second time around. In fact, many of them were absolutely positive that he was one-and-done. Evaluating the relative strengths or weaknesses of either parties "rising stars" is rarely a successful exercise for the opposing party faithful.

But please, return to your hate-fest.

Weird...there's one thread blaming Obama, this one blames O'Malley...maybe just maybe the majority of voters were happy with Walker instead Barrett. The voters have spoken....and not necessarily about the two O's....

How did you come to this conclusion? Got some sort of source or just a gut feeling?

Probably based on Marylander's opinion of O'Malley at this point of time. It's an easy conclusion.

Are you impressed with him and does he still bring a tingle up your leg?

    But they'd both be wrong.

Realistically, the only postive for O'Malley would have been limited -- he'd be associated with a successful campaign in Wisconsin. Now, he's associated with a losing campaign in Wisconsin. For O'Mallley's sake, I hope he learns from his travels around the country that he lacks the depth of intellect and character necessary for the national stage.

Say what you will about their politics, but Paul Sarbanes and Barbara Mikulski are hard to match in terms of honesty, dedication, and character. I'm uncomfortable mentioning O'Malley in the same sentence with those two.

If you want an accurate measure of Sarbanes's character, consider that after all his years in government he lives in a realtively modest home in Oakenshaw/Roland Park. I don't expect to see O'Malley back in the Lauraville Safeway -- used to see Katie and the kids all the time.

The first part-probably....the second part-I seriously doubt it.

You are absolutely correct. Neither O'Malley nor Obama had any bearing on that race. Obama stayed out of it, probably because his campaign team determined ahead of time that Walker was going to win and getting involved with it would not be politically smart. The bottom line is that the majority of voters in Wisconsin approved of what Walker did, and despite the loud cries from those who didn't like it, he will be allowed to continue and finish out his term. He has closed the gap on Wisconsin's deficit and I suspect you will see some other governors that will use the same blueprint to do the same thing.
