Look, your wrong, its ok to be wrong. All of those kids played on 7v7 teams. Deandre Kelly(Dematha) is on NLN's travel Team; Drew Ashley, Keon Paye, Kobie Walker (all of Our Lady of Good Counsel) are as well. DJ Turner of DeMatha plays for NLN and his Dad coahes at Friendship Collegiate.

    Just let it go please...

Also, Chris Jones of DeMatha plays for Team MD 7v7 Shall I continue...
Show me anywhere where any of these kids played on a travel team last summer. Paye and Ashley both were freshmen. If you also read my posts, I said state sponsored teams are also accepted. Gilman kids also have been on these teams.

Rivals events is also not the same as going to Bowling Green or West Virginia to play in 7 on 7 events. These are the events I'm talking about!

So tell me this. What is Donal Davis' problem??? He allows his kids to participate with NLN and all that they offer. and It doesnt look like it has hurt his chances at playing for championships or sending kids to schools. Just My Opinion...

I cant sit here and allow adults to make this out to be an issue when it really isnt. If you like it good, if not just let them be...

    Wow
I don't have a problem at all with NLN! I have had quite a few conversations with them and personally like them a lot! They know how I am. If I wasn't traveling and using my phone I would find and post Brooks comment from last summer and how DM kids aren't allowed to be apart of travel 7 on 7 teams.

The NLN or the NFL? The NFL is definitely not a non-profit.

so its cool to give Mike Farrell $80 to write an article, but not ok to pay a college $40 for a camp to actually be on campus and have an opportunity to earn a scholly???

Doesnt make too much sense to me. whats more important, and secondle, how about you ask parents like myself who ran my car into the ground taking my kid and fellow friends around to colleges, how fun that is and let alone the expense.

Now some guys have build a system to get that done and make it affordable, oh no let me shoot that effort down

    Give me a break

Are you serious? NLN is basically CHC feeder program. Why would he have a problem with it? It's founded and ran by CHC assistants and former players of Davis.

I never said it hurts anything. I don't think it hurts anything. It helps kids without a doubt. I have gone on record by saying that I'm a fan. But I also understand the reasoning of why coaches only want kids to participate with their high school team in the summer and not travel with outside 7 on 7 teams. I will be willing to bet you that all of the kids you mentioned that workout with these other teams from GC and DM will not be traveling with them this summer unless it's a state sponsored all star team.

NLN does a great job.. our guys always enjoy chatting with them when we see them at the events and their kids and coaches are all very respectable... Its a shame they didn't meet us in the finals at PA Swag.. they would have been a better game than that team from Pittsburgh we demolished in the final.. although it is always fun beating Pittsburgh no matter what level of ball.. haha

You are having a conversation with them right now. Pressman is NLN.
I do nt think this was ever a attack on NLN. Instead of hiding behind blog names. Reach down grab a set and post on the Blog name NLN. Through out the history of time people will make comments on groups, some good, some bad, some lies, some truths. If you are going to represent youths. you must not only teach them to take the high ground you must also set a example and take it yourself. If you believe in what you are doing who give's a sh--t what others think. By sitting here stiring up a fight you are doing a injustice to your company and all the hard work that you have done.

Le me make sure im hearing you correctly... So what months are these kids allowed to participate in 7v7 travel events. and in this rule, what about the kids the travel with their basketball teams, what about the kids who are with the outward bound projects that miss summer workouts and team events, or the countle youth works workers who cannot make it to summe 7v7 or workouts.

Please clearify why a kid will be punished for NON- MANDATORY School Sponsored summer events for any reason

Any are you telling me that you are in favor of kids be judged or playing time determined based on how often they are at the school in the summer, or based on what they do when the Rules state that the season officially begans??

I stand corrected re: the NFL being a non-profit entity; however, back to my original point - NLN is a business not a charity.

If you are close and have never talked to me. That would not make sense. You can. You can send a private message on this Site. The more you argue on this Blog the more it will hurt NLN. They like every new start up have made mistakes. Some of those mistakes have a potental negative Impact on them, the kids as well as metors in NJ Phil.

my point is that they are working for a profit like any business, so let's stop pretenting that they're only in it to help the kids, or that what they're doing is "all in the name of having a great experience and earning a free education."
