Just because a move is perceived as "desperation" doesn't mean it isn't a good one. As in everything else, time will tell, but the Oz has a fair track record with late pickups of veterans. They provide depth, experience, and leadership and sometimes can be top performers.

A few years, Ozzie grabbed a receiver that played on a team with Larry Fitzgerald, a team that felt he was expendable...that move seemed to pay off for the Ravens when Anquan Boldin arrived!

Any move is a crap-shoot! However for every Ryan Leaf there is a Peyton Manning - and Ozzie has had more wins than losses in his GM career!

Hemsley makes a lot of sense. Yet again.....West Side Ozzie goes to his bread and butter.....the bargain bin. An old broken down injured PED user....yep.....sounds JUST like a Raven move pretty much.
