    Just because a move is perceived as "desperation" doesn't mean it isn't a good one. As in everything else, time will tell, but the Oz has a fair track record with late pickups of veterans. They provide depth, experience, and leadership and sometimes can be top performers.

    Giving the ball to Kurt Warner when Trent Green got hurt was a desperation move.

    A few years, Ozzie grabbed a receiver that played on a team with Larry Fitzgerald, a team that felt he was expendable...that move seemed to pay off for the Ravens when Anquan Boldin arrived!

    Any move is a crap-shoot! However for every Ryan Leaf there is a Peyton Manning - and Ozzie has had more wins than losses in his GM career!
