I have a secret for you - rarely do any of the legislators read the bills they vote for. They have other people read them and highlight the important parts and they also trust the ones who sponsor them (usually because it is someone from their own party). What's disingenuous is those who claim they never read it before it came to a vote. Like, somehow this bill was different from others.

No, the Republicans, in this case, were outmuscled by the Democrats and used the "we haven't read it" tactic in an attempt to undermine it. If the parties were switched, the Democrats would have used the same tactic IMO.

As another poster said: One of the biggest lies is the claim that no one read the bill or knew what was in it. Every bill proposed in Congress is gone over with a fine-tooth comb by any number of staff members from both sides of the aisle. Every member of Congress had access to someone on his staff who knew what was in that bill -- if they wanted access.

As irritating as you can be, I do find hope in your constant bluster since you regularly display the real weakness of the extreme right: Reliance on stupid people who blindly follow where their talk-show hosts point.
