    Default Opening day starting rotation

Arrieta - One of the worst pitchers in baseball and headed for a demotion.
    Chen - Surprisingly effective.
Hammel - Injured - can barely go 5 innings, though he pitches well.
Hunter - Demoted already because he's terrible.
Matusz - At the absolute best, he's a number 3. At his worst, he's not a major leaguer.

This is the rotation that's going to carry the team to a winning season? How can anyone look at this and think that what we saw the first two months wasn't an illusion? The myth of the "young starters" has been exposed - they've developed literally nobody. Their two best starters are a free agent acquisition, and a guy they got in a trade, and every single one of their prized "young guns" has been a failure at the major league level.

The future is bright? Please, any future in which the Orioles are winners won't involve 60% of this staff.

They called Hunter back up for tomorrow. On one hand that's crazy, on the other hand I appreciate them not playing yo-yo with Tillman and Bergeson. Clearly the AAA-MLB bouncing game McPhail liked to play didn't help them at all.

This isn't a playoff team right now even if they did call up Bergy and got 5 innings out of him. No sense bringing him up to get shelled again.

Bergy and Tillman are getting knocked around a bit in AAA right now but they are still just 26 and 24. Granted they should be able to pitch here by now, but there's no reason to quit on them yet. Not like we have any better options.

Bergesen's not even on the 40 man anymore, I'd say he's out of the discussion even as a spot starter for the time being. Britton is probably next to get a shot here in about a week.
