    Default Streeter...Steal of the draft...NOT

I love to tell you I told you so. Like I said, the were many reasons why he was a sixth round pick.

I think Smith was the same way in his first camp last year. Let's give him a look in pre season as we did Smith and as we all saw, it was the 3rd preseason game that we saw Smith really start to feel comfortable.

You maybe right, but the talent level between Smith and Streeter is like night and day. I hope you are right.

I get where you're comming from and going with it. Way to early to make a judgement, although some already have. Kruger was the steal of his draft, so was clarence moore for that matter, we saw how that worked out. You can't say someone is a steal if they have never done anything in games.....

Didn't know you could evaluate a guy BEFORE PLAYING A SINGLE DOWN. Torrey Smith was a bust after a bad preseason and we saw how he turned out.

Many throw away draft picks make it, even if they are a project. Ray Berry was a 14th or 16th round pick. He looked like anything but a football player. Streeter could have been picked up as a project. Let's see what a few months or even two or three years in the practice squad does.

Late picks are not for this year many times. That is why they did not go in the first or second round. If in two years he is a 1000 yard WR then he was out steal of the draft. If he has stone hands and becomes a gunner in three years, he was a steal depending on how good he does at it.

Some are picked to add depth, some challenge and some fodder for the practice in July and August. It is a cruel game for the fodder, but they are the "Rudy's" of Pro Football.

Draft picks are like picking a women to dance with. Sometimes the ones standing against the wall look better then others. Yet until your on the floor you never know. Then even once on the floor she may dance her azzzzz off; yet be the TO of all the girls there. Just look at Carolina and their FIRST rounder. I would take Steeter over the problems of Blackmond.

Now Randy Moss fell and should not have in hind sight.

Just try to make the right pick of the right player who can contribute to your team for more then 3-4 years and you got a winner.

that is what pre-season and training camps are for, to evaluate players. That is what is happenning as we speak, and that is what we are talking about. Hopefully, your evaluation is done before the regular season starts. Smith was not a sixth round pick and quite fraankly the jury is still out on him. You need more than post patterns in the bigs. Didn't you christen him the steal of the draft?

"I would take Steeter over the problems of Blackmond." You are kidding right? Moss didn't fall through the cracks, he was picked 10th overal. teams were scared of his mental issues, not his talent.

Yup. Moss might have went #1 if he was remotely normal off the field.

T Smith showed last year he could run more than post patterns. As for Streeter, he was billed as a 6th rd pick with great speed and bad hands. Considering how important hands are to receivers, I don't know who on here was calling Streeter a steal.

Am I supposed to know why you are saying I told you so? What could he have possible done in early June that makes him a bust?

my guess would be; not understand the playbook, not pick up the plays, run the wrong routes consistently, not block, drop passes, suck during practice, etc.

Face it....basically this guy is this yr's version of Tandon Not-Moss.....Erin Riley before that.....Dustin Harper...Clarence Moore.....and on and on. Sooooo much hype over a late round WR (who was late for a REASON)....only to be like 'wha happened?' when he doesn't pan out. So predictable.

I don't think we have to worry about going 2-14 like one of the worst teams ever did last year.

How about letting him take a few snaps first?
    Jeez.
