I do believe Vlad asked for a release. The Jays didn't think he was ready for the majors but were willing to work with him an a day-to-day basis. Not happening, and I wouldn't bet the farm on reinforcements coming at all. With so few sellers, players like Garza and Saunders are going to demand extremely expensive packages.

In all likelihood, this team is stuck with the bilge already cluttering up its roster until 2013.
