Says the surprise of the offseason was how no veteran kickers wanted to come here and challenge Cundiff. Thinks the O takes big lead while d takes a slight dip. Only slight because the secondary is only going to get better. His most improved player the last 3 years? Jameel McClain.

The disappointment of the offseason thus far is Ed Reed as a no show today, I hope that there is a good reason that Harbaugh already knows for this!

'Biggest disappointment?' Ah yes.....riiiiiight....because Thuggs is no great loss.

(Actually.....he isn't. But for the sake of this argument let's roll w/it. )

    ^this.

I think our secondary will be better. Our pass rush will suffer somewhat, hopefully not a lot.

He'll be in the secondary. This is his yearly dance.

If you enjoy getting into dramas - like TV soap operas or reality shows - then go ahead and get into the whole "Ed's not in camp" angst, as if he needs mini-camp. When the whistle blows he will be there, and QBs will have to account for him before putting the ball in the air.

If you want drama though, every time Billy Cundiff comes in to attempt a critical kick, I will probably have to cover my eyes. Sorry to feel that way, but he choked in the clutch big time, and I can just not feel comfortable about him. For someone playing his position that is a big issue.

I started covering my eyes even before Cundiff missed the last one. Your post put it into perspective for me. What do you do for a living?
