I'm at my first 7on7 tournament at Towson University. CHC beat Atholton 3 tds to 1 td. Dionte Austin was the standout on defense and Colar Kuhns threw tds to 3 different receivers. Kyle Levere was open on every play. Though it doesnt count it's satisfies my football jones. Next up, Springbrook.
In the second game vs the Springbrook, CHC came out on top holding the Blue Devils scoreless. Springbrook has a great basketball program but the football team not so much. Prior to this game, I watched . Estep shred Old Mill. Dunbar might regret giving Crest the job over Estep. The boy has a huge chip on his shoulder.
CHC beat Paint Branch & Einstein both handily in games 3 & 4. They'll definitely face better competition in the playoff round.
As for Estep starting over Brady, I wouldn't know. It looked like Brady tweaked a quad or something. He wasn't playing. Estep was slingin' that ball though.
First four seeds in the playoffs, in order, are Arundel, Patuxent, Friendship (DC) and Calvert Hall. FYI, Friendship's Jalen Tabor is a monster. I can see why everybody is recruiting him. Has great size and technique for a 16 year old.

My source at FCA said the reason he didnt return to them was they don't accept 5th year players. He didnt go into detail about his previous stops. Looked on Maxpreps and found his name listed on Archbishop Carroll roster for 2yrs, and then on FCA's.
Freshman 09-10 @ AC
Soph 10-11 @ AC
Junior 11-12 @ FCA
Senior 12-13 @ SFA
Reclassified love how we try to spin things. A very good friend of mine runs one of the largest youth programs in the state. One of his kids was supposed to be starting 9th grade coming up at one of the top private schools. When I saw him working out with his team from last year I asked what was up. He told me the coaches talked with his parents and told them that the young man should stay back so he can fill out.
Definitely not true about Tabor. He might be a year older but definitely not to year's older.
What happened? The great CHC/NLN lost to ARUNDEL? ARUNDEL? With the 15 D1 7 on 7 players? Good for Arundel. Word is, there's some issues going on over at CHC(nothing to do with 7 on 7). Some serious rumblings going on over there! What happened to the kumbaya Card?
I am not sure of the MIAA rule on this but there are many associations where you can get a medical reclassification waiver for a 5th year provided you missed most of a season due to injury and you don't turn 19 before Aug 31st and did not graduate of coarse..
I believe Brady was injured in the fist few games last year and missed the rest of the season...
Man you sure can put a spin on things. CHC's kids did well. Yesterday was all about kids developing timing with each other and learning to depend on the player next to them. Arundel is built for 7on7 with that fast break offens, but I'd love to see the two teams play in regular season.
After watching yesterday, CHC's receiving core may be the best in the MIAA. The defensive backfield will also be a strength. Coach Corey has the horses to match up with anyone they play, including your almighty Greyhounds.
