Default Finally a way to prove it.....

Seriously, I am not O-Line!!!!! Leave me out of this. If you would like to PM me ( I dont know how to do this or I would haha), I will prove this to you. If O-Line knows you and you know him, why in the world would he need to post under a different name? Or why would I tell you to give up your story about Howard having an ineligible player. I coach at a school that has red in their uniform and not in Columbia.....Enough!!! I dont want to be linked to making any kind of comments about a kid's death. Please address your comments to only O-Line, if they are intended for him, he will get them anyway and it will do no harm to you to leave me out of it.

Just like you can't say how a LB #33 ended up at Howard and was allowed to stay after getting caught using a false address that you knew about. The investigation found him using someone's utility bill in Howard's district and you knew about it TW. If you want this to get ugly I will blow it out of the water. So HCfootball10 go back to using Oline your normal login. Yes, I do enjoy working with the youth league football teams preparing them for their future high school teams. You made such a big deal about River Hill recruiting and falsifying addresses when your school has been doing it for years. "Those in glass houses should not throw stones" This is my last post because I don't want to get caught up in a war on words. When I see you TW I will let you know who I am and we can talked things out.
I look forward to this convo. We can go over throwing techniques.

Since I appear to be the voice of reason, thanks Oil Can, let me chime in. I avoid the boards now a days, not much to say, but I was contacted about this little chatter. Let me begin by saying that youthcoach is yet again another internet coward with a screen name. Who might you be my friend? I'm Coach Kaplan, how are you doing?

River Hill is an excellent program with outstanding coaches and a great support group around them. Way to go in representing the underrated play in HoCo. As I have said each of the last five years or so I hope the staff goes on to coach at the next level so the rest of my boys get a chance at the big time.

I hate LRHS as well. Strong words but if they never win another game it will be too soon. The tragedy they experienced with the loss of a brother is very sad and I (as well as every other Howard coach) sent their condolences to the program. That being said, it is a real rivalry like no-other in the county. The kids go to middle school together and grew up in the Hurricanes' system. They are best friends 8 months of the year. Actually we have had divided houses with one brother at each school.

I can truly say that no one knows as much about HoCo Football as O-line. His picks are usually dead on and in a county with the balance of HoCo that is saying something. We don't always see eye to eye but he is good stock...like a bull.

Don't bring up ROTC because you have no idea how that system works and if I get Colonel Marshall on you, you may never see day light again...she is no joke. Challenge her program and you will get.

Too much time on this coward already and the DVR is full.
BTW- Dunbar by 40 over Newtown. They are terrible.

    Default Where are you now?

I seem to remember attending the Long Reach -Howard football game two years ago with 3 of my youth players when you were the defensive coordinator for Howard High and your defensive scheme gave up 5 TD's on 6 plays their player made player of the week. I don't think you returned after that. As far as coward I am a youth coach who is fed up with the one sided and inaccurate posts from your Howard cronies. The thread should read Lion football. I send players to at least four schools. Last time I checked you and your cronies are still 3-13 against Long Reach maybe that's why you hate them so much. I know you and you know me, you are a nice man don't get caught up this.

Once again another coward. No name coward who has a spotless record because you have no record. Put your name out there like a man or just shut your mouth. You are probably just some "Dad" or some "Mom" based upon your terms.

BTW- the scheme is a scheme...players make plays. Like when the the boys gave up one first down after the first quarter.

Be a part of some big wins and some big losses...like every other coach who has ever picked up a whistle. Something you obviously know nothing about.

Wow things have gotten very personal on this page. Any thoughts on the All-County selections. Some kids should not be as high on the list. Also a few of the kids didn't play the positions they earned 1st and 2nd team honors. Not hating, I'm just saying...

I did not realize the list had been released. It took me a few minutes to find it on the Flier website. As in the past it looks like the Flier has used the coaches selections for their all-county list. I am not sure who you think is misplaced on the list. It seemed fairly representative to me. I found their to be very few surprises on the list.

The other factor is that lists like this have very general categories especially, i.e. LB, DB, RB, WR and do not take into account the role of athletes who play in very different roles. For instance River Hill plays the 3-3 defense that uses athletes to play Defensive End on the line of scrimmage vs running teams, but play pass coverage like a Strong Safety vs spread teams. Is that athlete a Defensive Lineman, Linebacker, or Defensive Back? On the offensive side of the ball the spread teams are playing the Slots who both run the ball on jet plays, but also catch the ball as well. Are they RBs or WRs? I would think it is a decision that the coaches make in the selection process.

Congratulations to all of the athletes who were selected and congratulations to the Hawks for another 3A state title! That make 3 in a row for Howard County, lets keep the streak alive in 2013!
