    Default 7 on 7 @ mervo

Went to Mervo to see The Dunbar squad and saw a very athletic quick Edmondson team give them all they wanted. But the BEST QB I saw yesterday was #1 from St .Francis.His competition was'nt as stiff BUT kid was slinging it.They were fast and looks like Estep might be on the sidelines again.Douglas looked good as well.I think Dunbar did'nt expect much from E/W but they came to play.Guess I'll check out Franklin today and Ravens stadium tomorrow.

#1 for SFA is Timothy Brady. He transfered from Friendship Collegiate Academy.

I didn't know he transfered. That's a big loss for FCA.

I think Edmondson is a bigtime sleeper in the city this year. They were young last year but played everybody tough. Somebody always steps it up in the city league and it could be them this year.

Downtown Baltimore is A LONG WAY from DC. None the less he looks really good,I think he runs in the 4.4 range.major DUEL-THREAT talent.

heard about the possibilty of him transferring but am still somewhat surprised since he has really begun to get colleges interested...he has had to come back from numerous injuries...having watched him since he was a freshman at carroll, i'm pretty sure he is not a 4.4 kid.... wish him all the best... he has always been very talented..

The question would be why ? Coach Aazar has brought FCA a long way.

can only speculate..brady missed most of last yr. after the espn game...i know they played a young qb (deandre parker I beleive)...maybe the job was open...IMO brady is better and obviously more experienced of the two...again, just speculation...

SFA is really loading up on those transfer QBs. Washington last year, Estep already enrolled and now Brady. I wonder if they'll be able to establish any continuity if they keep bringing in these guys for just a year.

Westminster's going to be very motivated this year after missing out on the playoffs on a terrible technicality last year. Westminster's coach anticipated winning by a lot and checked with the county AD to see if it was legal to play his JV QB in the varsity game as long as he played less than 4 quarters total that week. The county AD said that he could, but they weren't allowed to. The coach puts the JV QB in for about half the 4th quarter in a blowout. Manchester Valley noticed and complained, and Westminster was forced to forfeit the game, dropping their record from 9-1 to 8-2 and knocking them out of the playoffs. So even though the County AD was wrong, it was the Westminster kids and coaches who suffered.

I think they would have surprised some people last year, their QB (Romie Cheese) was the real deal. He should have been more heavily recruited but he had no grades, so he ended up at D3 Wesley. Westminster has also really gotten the football/track connection in the last year or two, their track team was a joke for about 20 years, but they have a bunch of football guys running now and won Carroll County in outdoor.

I heard they will have upwards of 10 transfers on their roster this year. They are also adding a freshmen team. I was told Brady was initially slated to attend a Prep School this year. However, he ended up at SFA in the end.

They better make sure all these transfers are legal, they're already in trouble with the MIAA for improper transfer paperwork for some of their baseball players, they had to forfeit their entire baseball season and were ineligible for the playoffs.

I understand a few transfers, but 10+ in a year is out of hand, especially when some are senior transfers and/or may have used up their eligibility already (Brady). If they ever want to move up to the MIAA A, they're really going to have to cut down on all these transfers, but the senior ones in particular.

From my understanding this will be Tim Brady's 5th year. FCA does not allow 5th year players, so thats why he left that program.

How is it possible that he can play at St. Frances? Did he not play four years of football at his past schools? Because you can't play 5 years of high school ball and play in the MIAA.

Not sure how many years Brady has played but he has been listed as a 2013 on Rivals for at least the last couple years.. I saw a freshman video of his from Carrol a couple years ago and the video from FCA lists him as a junior..
