Default City College Dwayne Morgan transferring

to St. Frances. The 6'7 forward just picked up an offer from Georgetown yesterday after securing an offer from College Park last week. The list, now 8, will grow exponentially as the interest in Morgan has sky-rocketed in the last 2 months.

    Default To top things off...

Mike Daniel leaves Severn School to take over New Town. BCC loses a winning coach and their highest rated basketball player ever in the last 18 months. They shouldn't have eliminated Daniel's position at City.

You just gonna bring AO out of summer retirement to answer this claim....yes...they should have let Daniels go and his exit was a done deal as soon as the new Principal Cindy Harkim took over. Daniels gave his ball players special treatment and anyone who is a true Bcc alumni will tell you that this is a huge no no at City. It goes against every fabric of the school history and theme. While I and many others enjoyed the two state titles Daniels helped to hang from the rafters, he also became part of the problem of eroding academic standards at Bcc. I wouldn't trade any amount of state titles if it means The Bcc that I loved and honored would be altered in anyway. I have much repsect for the Gilman's and Loyola's but There was no school as great as the Bcc I attended.

How can a non-teaching coach erode academic standards? Would that not be a systematic problem? Didn't some of those same players play football as well? Just asking
