I seriously doubt, even if the O's took the contract off the books, that they would trade away two top of the rotation level pitchers and a proven power hitter with plus defense for B prospects.
The Cubs payroll is only 7 million more than the O's in a bigger market. While they might want to shed him, I don't think they are as desperate as some might think.
So we have a confirmed rumor?
