Default What do you think of Jim Tracy ?

he goes with a 4 man rotation.....okay, his starters are terrible I don't blame him for trying something different. At one time it was the norm...

but and I do mean but
he then states that those 4 pitchers are on a 75 pitch count....

doesn't matter what the games dictates.....he's yanking them

sure enough he did it tonight

    what do you think ?

I think the guy is frustrated, made a public statement now he won't come out and say it was made in frustration. Or the maybe the guy sniffs glue or gas.

His a good manager but FO made horrible moves with the staff. Francis, morales, ubaldo and of course Guthrie and Moyer are bad fits for Coors Feild. They only have 2 decent players in Gonzales and Tulo. To do what he is doing you carry an extra reliever, which the Orioles are doing.

He wants less walks and pitchers to attack the hitters. Someone once asked Juan Marichial why he didn't strikeout more batters and he said it only takes one pitch for a hitter to hit a ground ball.
He is managing with what he has and it isn't very good.

If they're on such a strict pitch count, makes it pretty predictable for opposing teams.
