(Reuters) - Two Protestant churches are set to review policies on same-sex marriages, as popular opinion moves toward favoring such unions and the growing number of states allowing them creates a dilemma for church leaders.http://www.reuters.com/article/2012/...85S1HM20120629"This would be a gross departure from the worldwide church," she said. "The growing movement is a secular movement. Shall we follow the culture, or shall we follow the Bible? That is the dividing line."
I am sorry but The Bible? Really? The Bible is a nice historical document. It even has a few wise admonitions and advice. But its not the word of God nor does it make much sense to completely shape modern society around its tenents. BUT I do think a Church should be allowed to believe whatever it wants as long as it doesn't try to force those beliefs on the secular community or spend mega millions to defeat Civil rights for Gays, as did the Moronic Mormon Church, who believe God lives on a planet named Kolub and that Jesus has his own planet as well.
