Ahead of Romo(10th) and Matty Ice![]()
Doesn't he work for 'Bristol'?
Didn't he used to be, you know, an actual quarterback?
He might know something about quarterbacking in the NFL.
Being the ninth best starting QB in the NFL still makes Flacco, by this rating, at least, the ninth best QB in the world, at any level right?
Not a bad way to make a living, right?
Surprise to me is Stafford at 14. I'd have him ahead of Joe. My rankings
1. Rodgers
2. Brees
3. Brady
4. Eli
5. Rapist
6. Rivers
7. Peyton(if 100%)
8. Stafford
9. Flacco
10. Romo
Part of the reason Stafford was lower had to do with health. Matt finally stayed healthy for 16 weeks and had a great season. I do think that Stafford will be top 10 this year but Joe will move up as well because he's going to be playing at a high level week in and week out this year.
I would actually still have Brady as no. 1 because he simply keeps getting it done despite his supporting cast(great sometimes mediocre at others). Rodgers is great but when his backup started and threw for a club record 6 TD's and 450 yards you have to wonder if its the system and those great receivers that contribute so much.
Jaws said Flacco has the strongest arm in the NFL. Not sure I agree with this from what I've seen. Brady or Vick come to mind for that.
But hey, #9 isn't too bad.![]()
Brady's arm isn't that strong. It's his accuracy that makes him amazing. Joe has a strong arm but needs to improve his touch.
Brady's arm is stronger than advertised (see the passes he threw to Randy Moss on three consecutive throws late in the game) and Vick has an Aikman like snap release but Joe's armis stronger given that he can make the deep pass consistently in any weather. I am not sure is the same can be said of Brady or Vick.
If Cam has another great year he crashes the top 10 and maybe top 5
These surveys are great and all in the offseason, but they mean nothing when the season begins. But football, moreso than many other pro sports, is a team sport. Flacco could be #1 and it wouldn't matter if the Ravens has big holes elsewhere. I care more about the Ravens remaining consistent and in contention for winning it all. So far they have not disappointed us fans (except maybe - for some - falling short of a Super Bowl victory) since Flacco started his first game. They've been one of the best teams in the league during his tenure.
No surprise here.....every1 knows he has ties to Flat Joe going back to South Jersey/Phillie or something. Or maybe it's the small school connection...IDK. But in any case it's well known that Jaws is somewhat biased (misguidedly IMHO) toward him.....so of course he will give him a boost.....much higher than deserved obviously.
Matty Ice should obviously be ahead of him....certainly a T10 QB. Romo most likely too. I also predict Vick will come out like gang busters and have a monster year....so add him to the list. Same for Dalton...he will take that next leap to stardom. Schaub should return w/a venegence. And they'll have to make room for Camtastic up there this year as well...and probably AL and Griff too.
Add it all up....and he's right back where he belongs (and where objective observers see him)...T20 at the very best.
How desperate does the Sun have to be to allow/hire someone to be such a petulant a s s hole?
Very sad and petty.
Has Flatty Ice ever won a playoff game?
Why? Statistically very similar except of course in the playoff win category. Ryan plays in a dome which helps pad his stats up to about the Flacco level. I seriously doubt he has as good of stats if he played in Baltimore. Flacco has the stronger arm but Ryan has the better touch. You can teach touch, but you cannot teach strength so Flacco should improve more than Ryan.
Until Ryan wins a few playoff games he shouldn't be compared favorably to Flacco.
