In God We Trust
Go ahead.
Trust away.
Whatever floats your spiritual boat. It's all good.
Most liberals hate God because they can't stand their own lives.
Drugs. STDs. Anger. Gender Confusion. Obama. Not being able to get through the day without taking a handful of psychotropic pharmaceuticals. Relegated to scraping boat hulls. Not being good enough to play in the Jello Boys.
They certainly have a lot to be angry about.
God Bless America.
Wonder how Jews & Christians came to believe that in the first place; with their God that eradicated His children ('cept 4 Noah & his kine) w/ the Flood, needed a cautionary Moses to stay Him from wiping out those children again @the foot of Mt. Sinai (& later a 2d warning from David); sent a surrogate in His stead after He did such a great job of keeping his charges in line: said surrogate bid men work no more (Jesus, the Ur-Welfare Agency) but wait on the Kingdom of Heaven.
I believe every word in the Bible but fail to see any sign (or wonder) of a morality, don't find Jesus or His ilk sympathetic characters, & definitely don't find that God & His brethren worthy of worship.
Sorry but slavery in the North American Colonies was started by a Free Black, Anthony Johnson of Virginia. The Founders had nothing to do with the establishment of that "peculiar institution".
According to the PBS Frontline series "What makes Anthony Johnson a central figure in the debate is an utterly bizarre and "politically incorrect" twist of fate. From evidence found in the earliest legal documents extant, it is Anthony Johnson who we now must recognize as the nation's first slaveholder."
Yet the Defenders Of Islam on this forum will kick and scream and fight to suppress all information about the murderous jihadi and their inhumane treatment of women.
Hypocrites, all.
Too easy.

"To get good people to do bad things, that takes religion" was a comment by Nobel Laureate in Physics Steven Weinberg, an avowed atheist. His comment was subsequently addressed by fellow-physicist Freeman Dyson who countered "Weinberg's statement is true as far as it goes, but it is not the whole truth. To make it the whole truth, we must add an additional clause: 'And for bad people to do good things — that takes religion."
If they are truly bad people, maybe therapy is a better answer... although not guaranteed.
Others are also looking for answers..
Manipulating morals: scientists target drugs that improve behaviour
Researchers say morality treatments could be used instead of prison and might even help humanity tackle global issues

It really seems like it's second nature for you to come across as completely stupid. Anyone who could make such an inane comment doesn't know a damned thing about liberals, let alone "most liberals". Man this board would be so much better a place if posters like you would just take a hike.
Religion, specifically Christianity as put forth in the new testament, centers on loving God and one's neighbor. The mentions of charity and forgiveness in the NT, particularly the gospels which Christians believe is the word of God should provide guidance to all society, not just govt.
