    Quiz time, Byng.

    When you hear this:

What lyrics come into your head ?

I'm betting it doesn't start with "My country 'tis of thee, sweet land of liberty"...

Depends where I am, but seeing that it is speculated long and large about the tune's beginnings, which may go as far back as a keyboard piece by the musician Dr. John Bull composed in 1619, it obviously did not originate here in the colonies!

I didn't ask you where it originated from. I asked you what lyrics come into your head when hearing the tune.

I will concede that you are right in that God Save the Queen comes to mind because I sang and saluted the British National Anthem for 40 years plus it is a standing joke in our household with my daughter being in the school band playing saxophone when I burst into song affectionately trying to put her off when she is practicing the tune at home. We are both very proud of both versions of the tune as I suspect are the dozens of other Nations throughout the world who have adapted it in some shape or form to be meaningful to them!

But only one which you chose to make your home.

So, either embrace your new home, or go home.

Home is where the heart is my friend, but thank you for your advice! Or was it a little stronger than that?

    Not advice, merely observation, Limey.

    God save the Queen.

White clergy tend to be pretty racist and anti-Black overall, this one is just being up front and honest.
