Really limits the choices.

No other options. Needed to call up somebody already on the 40 man and for the same reason they sent Tillman down, there was no point in calling a pitcher up.

Yep, unlike so many recent years, the 40 man roster actually has less dreck this year. If there were spots open, Lew Ford would be the logical callup. Frankly, I wish they'd just dump Gregg or Reynolds to find room for him. The guy knows the outfield, is swinging the bat well in Norfolk apparently and he can't possibly be as weak an option as the others we have seen recently out there in left and right.
