Arietta sucks because he can't locate his pitches. He doesn't know how to fully use his full arsenal of pitches to get hitters out. It has nothing to do with his desire to win or any other psychological cliche you can come up with.
those who don't learn from their mistakes repeat them...the past serves a purpose, just as his demotion is supposed to serve a purpose..however if your approach is "oh well" it doesn't bode well for harnessing your talent....he's had those pitches for years and he's had his talent for years...what he doesn't have is the mental make up to harness his talents...
