You want dialogue, I stated what the county did to make him qualified. They lowered the bar after realizing that Ron's hand picked choice didn't have the qualification's.
So, he was not qualified when the job was first posted. The color of his skin had nothing to do with that. I have no idea what the county wanted or expected from the position when Ron was selected, but there were certification and educational expectation this time.
I for one was happy for DD at CH and thought he had the energy to turn things around at his alma mater. I'm not tuned in on the MD AD and his critics. I have heard the critics of Randy Edsall, is he black??
Wow, you must be a HR associate for Baltimore County. It seems like you have inside info. Did the Sun mention these "facts" in their story about Sye a few weeks back? I'd say it was hearsay unless otherwise proven.

Im glad you're so enlightened and progressive about DD at CHC. As for the MD AD, he gets blamed for getting rid of a stale Ralph Friedgen, for cutting sports at MD and for hiring Randy Edsall. Just read some of the Terp messageboards on the Internet. You'd think the posters were Republicans writing about President Obama.

When they posted the job, I wasn't qualified by the standards they posted. The when re-posted, I could have applied. You don't have to be in the HR dept. to read a job posting. You can believe it's hearsay, heck, just blame George Bush (LOL) for the rumor.
The Sun's article was a feel good story, do you really think they were going to be critical of the hiring? I'm happy for Sye, like I said, he's a good guy.
I was one who thought MD football was out of control and thought a change was needed. Most of my friends agreed. The Edsall hire wasn't the homerun that fans were looking for. So whatever the color of the AD is, he was going to get criticism. I don't troll message boards because I know there are idiots on there and I don't care about their opinions.
DD was the best choice for the CC job and was happy for my friend when he got the job. He is very dedicated and a class act.

Please keep in mind, if these three men are being questioned because of their color, I say, welcome to the world of leadership. People will question all decision's that you make. It comes with the title's they hold, not their color. If it were me, my goal would be to prove them wrong.

Good points. However, maybe the job standards were relaxed due to a lack of applicants. If not, I'm sure there is sombody somewhere in Baltimore County ready to claim "reverse racism" and file a federal lawsuit over unfair hiring practices.

BTW, racism still exists, whether you look at things through rose colored glasses or not. Can we get back to football now? Will ET and Hereford make a comeback this season, GatorTime? Both teams weren't their dominant selves last season.

Getting back to County football...Once again, I see no team with that will challenge for a state title.

Okay. Who will be the best team in the Northwest Baltimore County corridor? Randallstown has been bad for awhile now. Will Milford Mill & New Town be competitive? Has Owings Mills ever been competitive? Please elaborate.

I would say Franklin...New Town lost the best QB in the county last year, Shawheem Dowdy who is now at Grambling on a full ride. Milford is always a question mark. Line play kills them against good teams. I would say Franklin, Milford and New Town, in that order...

Ok, I've seen a lot of these teams in 7 on 7 tournaments this summer. and Milford Mills looks the best in the bracket. Perry Hall lost a lot of players, St. Frances killed them 13 to 1 about 2 wks ago and everyone else has done the same even Loch Raven. I know what you going to say , its 7 on 7 and they better be glad because that preseason poll would be completely different.

Franklin is arguably the most talented team in Baltimore County. Speed at the skills positions and a savy, experienced QB to get all those weapons the ball. I believe they also won the recruiting battle for one of the top 8th graders in the area in Mr Smothers.

You are absolutely correct, Franklin did get Smothers. I don't know what Franklin has as far as it goes in the trenches but they are pretty stacked at the skill positions especially with young talent. Not only did they get Smothers but I heard they also got rising Soph Darius Hinton from DeMatha. I think Hinton will come in and have a big season for them. Franklin could make some serious noise in the next few years.

Get those glasses checked. Not sure what you saw but your observation of Perry Hall's performance is a bit off. We can talk more at the end of the regular season.

Correct me if I'm wrong I thought Team Shutdown was for 14 and under, why would High School players be on that team? Just curious.

Play by different rules. That team was more like 14-15U.

What did you and your nephew think of Bucknell, the coaches, the campus?
