I guess this isn't very surprising. He has been building towards this for awhile. But he has a rude awakening. The national landscape is not nearly as tilted towards his party as the state landscape is. His caving to special interests and his letting Mike Miller control him won't play out very well on a national level. All anybody needs to do is go back to his statements on gambling during Ehrlich's term, and his flip-flop once he got in the governors office. He may also have to finally acknowledge whether he disclosed that DUI on his bar application that he refused to release. In short, he will get eaten alive by both democrats and republicans on the national stage.

Doesn't matter. When he gets his greasy mitts on the rest of the country's gambling states...well, we know what he did to Maryland...

I and many others are making it their mission to notify every person they know - friend, family member, business associate, etc. living outside Maryland just what a tax & spend-loving, conniving, dirty-dealing, arse-kisser OWE'Malley really is.

The #1 reason Marty-land was named one of the bottom 10 states in which to retire? Marty-land has one of the highest cost of living rates in the country. NUFF SAID.

1st paragraph shows "the gnashing" is at full throttle

if you're a connoisseur of overwrought, purple prose you'll love this

    http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn...2004Jul28.html

...O'MALLEY: America the beautiful, whose alabaster cities gleam undimmed by human tears; oh, my friends, to govern is to choose.

And at this hour, the man and the mission have met. The mission is America's security. The man is here. And the choice is ours.

Come November, we choose America's security. Come November, we choose the man who bravely answered his country's call to service before and is prepared to answer that call for us now.

We choose the right president for these times, the right president fore the United States, and the next president of the United States. We choose John Kerry, John Kerry, John Kerry.

The whole "alabaster cities" thingy actually sounded worse when he said it than it does when one reads it. It was hilarious to hear and watch.

I'll bet right now Marty's Minions are scrambling around to get their hands on his stick figure video and the Chip Franklin tape.

Either one proves what a complete and utter putz Marty is.

That’s true! It almost cost him that “close” election two years ago too!

When it comes to temper tantrums Ehrlich can’t hold a candle to Marty. Remember Marty’s comments to and about Jessamy, his stick figures and his invitation to Chip Franklin to step out into the parking lot.

Marty is an overgrown school yard bully who is barely holding onto his composure because he and Ehrlich are in a statistical tie and Ehrlich hasn’t even run one TV add yet.

If Ehrlich opens any kind of lead the Irish mob better start measuring their boy for a straight jacket.

That was MD, a single A ball yard when it comes to politics.

To get to be POTUS he's gonna have to play in the majors and there the pros will clean his clock.

And I'm flattered that you keep my old posts close at hand for easy retrieval.

Don't be, because it wasn't because because of their brilliance. It's a thingy called a "search function" that uses key words.

But that doesn't mean that you can't continue to cling to the fantasy that the comment made to Chip Franklin is a major scandal. Now perhaps if he had led a group and forceably assaulted Chip and cut his hair or something...
