That's why the play the games on the field and not on paper.

GC by no means has the best LB, DL core in the state. Gilman's front 7 is every bit as good as GC's! The best LB in the state is at Gilman, I think despite what he showed today Bigelow from ECA is the best DL, with Gilman's DL the best with Hank Poggi, Chibuzo Ukandu and Melvin Keihn. OL might be GC. Don't know about RB set but from what I saw from today's scrimmage, O'Daniel is definitely the best RB in the state. He is a solid LB but I am not sold on him there. I think he's a better prospect at RB. The kid looks really good. He made a believer out of me.

When talking Best Linebackers it is tied to the defense you run. GC line is a hit and read scheme and enables the linebackers to make the plays. GC line keeps the blockers off of the Linebacker and really allows them to shine. With that said GC Linebackers are loaded with playmakers, speed and hitters, they could stand their own against any school in the nation. The system makes the Linebacker as much as the player.

I think Gilman's defensive line allows their LB's to make plays. GC LB's are fast, but I wouldn't call them big hitters. Gilman's Kiser and Miles Norria are the two best tandem LB's in the state. I'm assuming Wyatt Dickerson will be moved to OLB and that gives Gilman a serious hitter and a lot of deep at the position. I am not big on Dorian at LB, he is good but you can tell that he's still learning. He's also not a big hitter. The best LB at GC is probably Reggie McGee. He's the one that brings the heat in that unit.

What I thought was interesting yesterday was that Kirk Fuller played a lot of safety. I think this is a good move for GC. He gambles a lot at CB and gets beat on deep passes.

Today's scrimmage should be interesting because Gilman has only been in full pads for a day. Should be intersting in how they look against a team that has been practicing for 11 days. Also, we all know that Biff is the king of not doing anything worth scouting during scrimmages. He will not tip his hand. I remember being at a scrimmage 2 years ago where Gilman didn't run the ball one time.

I think Marcelous(sp) is the big hitter and I also think that Gilman will throw the ball all day today just like they die in preseason with Jennings
