Nothing like watching him hit a homer late in the game on an 0-2 count. Probably my favorite Oriole of all time.

Eddie was on my favorite Red Wing team in 1976 before heading to the Birds.
He was my first Red Wing HoFer and Cal, sadly, was my last, unless Dennis Martinez somehow gets in as an old-timer.
I wasn't really around for Mussina.
I don't care too much for money![]()
I'm glad they made the statue with him batting left handed. I know he was a switch hitter but he looked more natural batting left handed.

Career batting average in 238 at-bats with the bases loaded is .399 with 298 RBI and a .739 slugging percentage.
Amazing, Didnt know he was 4th on the all time list.I missed the eddie days(with being young).
this was the only ceremony I felt compelled to attend. the reason is becuse Eddie never talks. so the opportunity to hear him share his thoughts on his career and the organization, that was special.
I loved when he was introduced, and the crown chanted Eddie for awhile, then he said "alright that's enough"
we we're watching from the flag court. the Royals were taking BP, and fly balls kept raining down on us.
