when edsall is gone and folks are looking back on the dark years he bought down on the program.......

his infatuation with brown over obrien will have folks scratching their heads for years ......

this article was from before brown was hurt ......

pretty telling piece from the article a month ago .....

One big issue with Brown and his running frequency is his durability. As a redshirt freshman, he missed 11 contests due to a shoulder injury. Last season versus Florida State, he was knocked out of the game (and didn’t start another until four weeks later) with a head injury.

Brown carried the ball 60 times in his four full games as a starter, and weighing in at only 205 pounds, he will have to bulk up if he wants to carry the ball 15 times per game for 12 games.

Take a look back at his 2011 stat highlights above. Not one is a passing statistic.

If only the fair-weather Terps fans showed up for games when Fridge was running the show he still would be....

damn. Hopefully either Hills or Rowe can step up this season.

It's also amazing that CJ tearing his acl can turn into an anti edsall conversation.

Brown was knocked out on a typical Fla State cheap shot when he was already down and in an vulnerable position. Brown was doing pretty well in the game, so they had to cheap shot him to get him out. That player should have been ejected and suspended for the dirty hit he put on Brown.

It is a shame that he got hurt, guess my Saturdays are completely free this fall now...

It's 100% EdsaLLLLLLLLL's fault the Terps find themselves in this predicament - if he didn't run off the best QB they had in years, they would be set at QB and Brown would be the back up. Instead, now they will have to start a freshman, and we'll get to hear Edsall complain about growing pains as he "rebuilds" the program he tore appart.

Seaon is done before it even started. Maybe somebody will step up. Is it too late for us to get a PSU QB Transfer?

It wasn't Edsall's decision to tear apart the program, it was the University's decision. Edsall didn't fire Fridge, Edsall didn't hire himself.

The school sunk all that money into expanding the stadium and upgrading the facilities and no one could be bothered to show up for games. The University was proactive in trying to build something. I give them credit for trying.

Competing with two pro teams in the area may be too tall an order. Everyone here laughs at the Jaguars fans for not showing up but Jax is a college football town. Maryland has a pro football tradition with that 'team' in Raljohn (that only wins when there is a labor strike ) and the Ravens who are building on the Baltimore Colts legacy.

I was talking about the product on the field: Edsall took a team that went 9-4 and promptly went 2-10 and ran off about 30 players, including the ACC rookie of the year the prior year. Then he blamed everyone but himself for his failures, including Fridge and the players. Real classy.

If you are looking for class in the ranks of college football coaches...well, that's your own fault.

Here's some video highlights of Perry Hills' senior year. I am trying to learn what I can about him.

Within an hour drive of CP, there are over 6 million people. Furthermore, because of the relatively strong local economy, many UMd grads stay in this area.

Surely, with such a large local terp population, you would think filling 50K seats 6 times a year would be easy?

In 2011, Md averaged only 39K in their 6 home games. That put them dead last in the ACC with regards to average % of capacity at 72.5%.

I also heard that Edsall took a pair of scissors and snipped CJs ACL while he was sleeping. What a terrible person!!

In today's Sun, it said Hills looked very comfortable with the 1st team in practice. Let's hope he becomes 2012's most pleasant surprise.
