Is there another route in the passing tree other than the fly in high school?

So kids are practicing route running in indys in practice to only get in a game situation to rely on a streak or nothing pass offense?! People...Coaches, it is 2012! You would think that after all of this 7 on 7 that we could finally have an intermediate game of drags, hooks, outs, quick slants etc. I am tired of watching Cali, TX and Florida football on tv like wow...why is it that more team don't have a strong passing game. Its like a passing play is like a trick play by most public school standards. I watch teams like Calvert Hall and GC this weekend constantly making 8-10 yard throws to keep the sticks moving and when I watch the publics its the same run, run, ........(high percentage pass) FLY route on 3rd down. Its embarrassing! I watched Columbia Ravens 11-13 team throw several intermediate passing moving the sticks and can only wish that I could see the same from public programs outside of Arundel.

What do you guys think?
