Default Sun reporter barred from City Hall while seeking CitiStat reports

    http://www.baltimoresun.com/news/mar...,4598268.story

How stupid does one have to be to do this after all he hype about the citistat program.

Sadly though why should the mayor care. She personally knows the three people that voted at election time.

No data posted in over 2 years? I'm wondering what the city is trying to hide.

This story does not make sense...

The Sun is quick to write anything City Hall tells them, (and with whatever 'spin' City Hall orders them to write). So why would a City Agency not want the Sunpapers to report on a story for them?

I hope reporter Scott Calvert keeps digging. I'd like to see WBAL's Jayne Miller take a run at this, too.

Maybe MD4Bush is used to reporters doing exactly what he wants.

His stooges at the Sun and Washington Post sure helped him during the Steffen scam.

I sent an e-mail to the gov asking how much he's looking into the MSP's superintendent's tax issues on his two home.

I won't hold my breath. Jane needs to do as followup and how embarrassing for the good ole boy system that wold be.

When the Citistat program was instituted by Mayor O'Malley, it was obvious that it's purpose was to cook the books in order to indicate there was actual accomplishment and accountability, when in fact there wasn't. This is the kind of thing you get when you have a long-time entrenched one-party monopoly that gets blindly re-elected year after year. They really have no special interest in serving or reporting to the public, they just keep riding the old gravy train and slopping at the public trough. Apparently the Blake administration doesn't even bother keeping the charade up to date, so they can't be having reporters looking into it. Move along citizen, nothing to see here.

Steve we cam see the last part of your sentence "keeping the charade up to date. At least that's something or as they say better than nothing.
