You can't buy beer in the grocery store in most of MD.

Does that 7-11 on Liberty Road (the one where the powerball people won) still sell beer and wine? I know there's one in PG near 197 that still does...

A very few supermarkets have liquor licenses (e.g., Eddies on Roland Avenue). Some have liquor stores next door (e.g. Eddies on Charles St.)

I could never figure out what the objection is to selling alcoholic beverages in a grocery store.

It's been a while... it's starting to come back to me now... I don't recall every buying beer at a grocery store in Baltimore... used to live right around the corner from the Eddies on Charles St and frequented the liquor store next door... I guess when you have a gazillion liquor stores there's really no need to sell beer in the supermarket. Though I suspect the presence of the gazillion liquor stores is precisely because of the fact that you can't sell beer in grocery stores lol... I forgot what a freaking mess Baltimore was.
