Nothing shows up in the Judiciary Case Search. Must be nice for our corrupt politicians to have "privileges."

I can understand the frustration, but also the authorities predictament:

"Sgt. Brian Albert of the Department of Natural Resources Police said investigators also have not determined which boat is at fault but that charges will be filed, possibly against the PILOTS OF BOTH BOATS.

Though Albert expanded the investigation's time frame by more than two months, he said that four months is not an abnormal duration for reconstructing boat accidents. He said the inquiry will not conclude until the beginning of 2013.

Each person in both vessels is represented by an attorney, which complicates the logistics of the investigation, Albert said."

This gives weight to the notion I had early on that the other boater, not Dywer, may be at fault for the accident. That the other has a lawyer does complicate things as he may be exercicising his 5th, and not be a co-operative witness.

Dwyer could and certainly should be charged with at least OWI but I can see the complexities with the case from a prosecutorial as well as a PR side.

I also saw mention in an older post that this hasn't shown up on Judiciary Case Search. Just a guess but that may be because no charges have been filed yet.

Sounds like AA officials want someone else to do the dirty work. Originally they said the investigation would be done in October.

The article states that it was done to avoid conflict of interest.

Two other state delegates work in the Anne Arundel's prosecutor's office, State's Attorney spokeswoman Kristin Fleckenstein said, referring to Del. Ted Sophocleus and Del. Luke H. Clippinger.

Default Official toxicology report for Delegate Don H. Dwyer Jr. (R-Anne Arundel County)

    http://www.baltimoresun.com/news/bre...0,102397.story

Why is it that the toxicology report from this accident took only nine days, but the official toxicology report for Delegate Don H. Dwyer Jr. (R-Anne Arundel County), involved in a drunken boat crash on the Magothy River, on August 22nd, that sent children to the hospital, is going to take 90 days? If those results are back, why hasn't the Sun reported it?

Also, if the results from this tragic incident have been returned? Where is the results for the Hopkins professor?

Default Pasadena's Don Dwyer drops Senate Bid

The state delegate who admitted he was drunk when the powerboat he was steering crashed into another vessel has dropped plans to run for the Maryland Senate in 2014.

Republican Delegate Don Dwyer of Pasadena says he no longer plans to run for the seat occupied by Republican Sen. Bryan Simonaire.

Dwyer has said his blood-alcohol level was more than twice the legal limit at the time of the boat crash in August. Several people were injured in the crash, which remains under investigation

I can't understand why Dwyer ~ or ~ his male companion ~ whichever one was in control of the boat ~ hasn't been charged yet just based on the blood alcohol content.

Because the officials responsible for investigating the crime havn't found a way to clear Dwyer and blame the other guy.
The lamb POS people responsible for investigating said it would be done on OCTOBER.

Don Dwyer is a well connected individual, there are thousands of people that are similar in power around the state. If he says, "Do not release", believe that it will not be released. That's how it works in the "good old boy" system, that's how it has always been.
