I never took Karate, I take Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. Having never training in Karate, I'm sure I'd be terrible at it.

And that's exactly what it means. It's a recognition of the fact that I will never know it all and am always looking for new ventures and interests... hence always being a beginner with something new - whether it be in martial arts or other hobbies/interests. I guess that's hard to understand for a couch cowboy who's identity is based on watching someone else do something rather than doing something himself.

I'm kind of shocked that you were able to translate it, even if the significance of it went over your head.

I find it hilarious that you assume I am a "couch" cowboy as you term it. Put it this way, I took Tae Kwan Do and I advanced further than a White Belt, and if I hadn't, I surely wouldn't be advertising it.

When I created my account, (almost 3 years ago) I was not embarrassed at all to be a white belt. I was pretty confident in my abilities, as I am now. The fact that every practice, my skills get tested, going pretty much full-contact with nothing but a cup has led me to confidently know what I can and can not do. Getting nearly choked-out and having your arm ripped off (and doing the same to others) also provides a sense of humility when it comes to skills. Also, seeing the difference in skill level between a white belt and average joe off the street illustrates the most critical difference between trained and untrained. If I were still a white belt, I would not be embarrassed either.

But like I said, the name was created based on philosophical idea and not my actual belt ranking (even though I was a white belt at the time).

I am not trying to insinuate anyone should be embarassed to be a beginner at something, but the eternal part is what I found odd. thats all.

Well, that's essential to who I am. I have a hard time staying with any one hobby/interest for a long time... which is both a character flaw and good at the same time - It keeps life interesting.

Unfortunately, I will never be an expert/the best at any of my hobbies, but I will have lots of different experiences.

Meh, people actually WATCH the probowl? Overrated garbage, kids doing Punt, pass and kick would be more competitive.

We both know that you're trolling. I mean, there's no plausible way you could come to the conclusion that RGIII "sucks." So you are either a) half retarded, b)full-on retarded, c) a window-licker or d) a troll.
Actually I didn't jump in until the true retard was comparing his stats to Flacco. Who would YOU rather have? Shame that was all over your head.

Again, I can't wait until your team overpays that guy.

    http://espn.go.com/blog/statsinfo/po...-on-deep-balls

Flacco has 52 overthrown passes deeper than 20 yards downfield in the past two seasons, 15 more than the next-closest quarterback

So what? According to Ron Jaworski, Flacco has the strongest arm in the league. An overthrow is way better than an underthrow as they are not nearly as often picked off. Boller probably led the league in underthrows, and/or deflected passes at the LOS both which are killers. Flacco rarely has either which is another sign of an above average QB.

Seems he wins 90% of the time, THAT is the important part now isn't it? The pos on the Landover's isn't even .500 even Boller was better than .500 his rookie year.

So, now RGIII is a "POS"? Really? Now what would make you draw THAT conclusion??

He's black and a Redskin. That's the reason for the haters. They have no other reason.

Jesus H, you have excuses for your guy and downplay everything the better rookie is doing. You're as transparent as can be.

I look at completion percentage and TD/INT ratios as evidence of a quality arm. Griffin is ahead of 50/50 Flacco in both.

    not a hater here .......

he's a talent and comparing him to vick is not an insult ......

remember vick was the first player picked, turned the league upside down for a while and set the standard for the qb of the future .......

thread is about luck vs rg3 and the 1 vs 2 pick .......

I think luck will have the success of manning and brady and rg3 will turn heads like vick with athletic plays but will never be one of the winning qbs .....

enjoy watching him while you can like we did with vick because his style is exciting but not made for the long haul in the nfl ......

I actually watch the redskins games and think some of the stats are misleading .....

Vick has never had an ounce of the accuracy Griffin has. He also has a fraction of the intelligence. Those are pretty important factors but you can keep on making excuses for his excellent play.

    what excuses? .......

he would have a good career if he wins as many games and playoff games as vick ......

the only thing I ever disputed was your use of statistics to try to paint him as a drop back nfl qb .......

I stand by my prediction that luck was the better choice and the way he turned around the colts pretty much proves that .......

people are making excuses now but all off season everyone was predicting rg3 would have a better rookie season because he was going to a much better team than luck since the colts were the worst team in football and unloaded what talent they had and axe the entire front office .....

    see ya, troll .........

Facts that prove you wrong isn't trolling.

NFC player of the week. Again.
