Chris Chandler was never all that good to begin with.

Replace Chandler with Brett Favre and answer that question.

BTW here is what RGIII did against at top defense:

Steelers shut down Griffin III, Redskins 27-12

PITTSBURGH (AP) -- The Pittsburgh Steelers watched opponents panic when preparing for Robert Griffin III and vowed not to suffer the same identity crisis.

"We didn't want to get too creative," defensive end Brett Keisel said. "We just wanted to play the way we know how."

Besides, why mess with a good thing?

Wearing throwback jerseys that made them resemble hulking bumblebees, the Steelers swarmed Washington's precocious star in a 27-12 victory on Sunday.

Griffin completed just 16 of 34 passes for 177 yards and a score while managing 8 yards rushing, finding little room to showcase his brilliance against a unit used to having its way when a youngster is calling plays in the other huddle.

I seem to recall Flacco beating the Stealers a few times, albeit his last game against them wasn't so hot.

That has nothing whatsover to do with this thread as you are going agains protocol by dragging Nationals threads into the Ravens category. Apparently, you follow no rules of posting etiquette.

How'd Flacco do against Houston? For that matter, how'd be do against Kansas City? Ha!

Stealers didn't do so hot either against KC. Since your team never played either one who cares? Apples and oranges genius.

Keep moving the goalposts and missing. You're digging deeper and deeper into your abyss of wrong.

You both should relax. It is possible to consider that Flacco and RG3 are both or are both going to be very good QB's. It is even possible that Luck and RG3 will both be very good QB's. And get a load of this wild thought: It MAY EVEN BE POSSIBLE, if not in fact probable, that when it is all said and done ALL THREE will be considered to be very good QB's. Who is better than whom won't be known for sure for about 15 years.

I have no problem with that. I think Flacco is good but inconsistent. I don't think he has what it takes to be great but certainly enough to win with. It's Old19 who is stuck and refuses to acknowledge that Griffin is very good.

Anyone who does not concede that Flacco is inconsistent certainly hasn't been paying attention. Conversely, anyone who doesn't believe a QB (esp the running kind) can tail off after a hot rookie year also hasn't. I personally think RG3 will be very good for a very long time. Not only that, from what I hear of him I like the kid (shudder). It is still way too early for the "My QB is better than your QB" game. RG3 has much better stats as a rookie than Flacco did (or even does currently) however the style of play that the coaches want from both are very different. Flacco came into a good team and has been a good compliment to that good team. RG3 came into a bad team and basically told to "show us what ya got" because they really didn't have too much to lose.

It is possible when all is said and done that Flacco will have a couple championships and a "hall of very good" type of career or he could end up being judged "above average". It is possible that RG3 will have a hall of fame type career but it is also possible that he won't live up to the hype. It is just far too early for this talk and I think it makes you both look bad to try to denigrate the other guy to build up the one each of you likes.

I'm not saying the kid is a hall of famer now. I am just saying he is very good and is showing a skill set that separates him from being grouped with other "running quarterbacks". Griffin's accuracy from the pocket and on the run is impossible to ignore and is my main argument. He's also exponentially smarter than the guys he's being compared to. Intelligence is very important in a QB and I'd often rather have a guy with a decent arm and a big brain than a big arm and a smaller brain.

So now his "brain" is bigger? How do you know that btw? Source please? Since you seem to know so much about NFL QB's "brains" please tell me who has the bigger one, Tom Brady or Peyton Manning? I am just dying to know!

Bigger than average, unlike yours. Brady and Manning are both very bright. Griffin and Luck are both very bright. I can back that up with the fact that Griffin graduated top of his class in high school and early in college, just like Manning and Luck too. I also think Flacco is very smart. I know Vick is not and I don't believe Newton is.

Did you administer their SAT's or their Guilford or Termin IQ test in 5th grade? Just curious as you are now apparently a self-proclaimed authority on NFL QB's intelligence levels.

Have you ever heard Griffin speak? He's clearly a smart kid. I was a fan after the first interview I heard with him.

Not all that smart, as it obviously took him getting his first concussion to realize he wasn't good enough to run around in the NFL like he did in college. Apparently, he got some sense "knocked" into him.
They hit just a little harder at his new level!

You really are painfully stupid. You'd make a horrible quarterback.

You are half right, I would make a horrible QB, preferred playing the wide receiver position if given a choice, although at my age I wouldn't make a good one of those either. My IQ Test score of 124 and 3.25 College GPA though might indicate that I am not as painfully stupid as you claim.

Since you seem to think you are an authority as to how smart NFL QB's are, how about head coaches? Who was smarter, Lombardi or Walsh? Also, who is smarter in today's game, Belichick or Coughlin? (Just curious, oh Carnac The Magnificent).
