Default Super Bowl Predictions for 2012 season

No 4 paragraph writings, just name the teams.

    Pats vs. Packers

FYI- In 2011 no one at ESPN had the Giants winning the Super Bowl and most had the Eagles winning the NFC East. Some had the Pats in the Super Bowl. A prediction is what it is, interesting to look back on but not life and death.

Query: Since the Pats, went to the SB last year and the Ravens did not how does the NFL justify how tough the Ravens schedule this year is compared to the Pats?

The bulk of the schedule consists of a team's own division and a rotational schedule of other AFC and NFC Divisions. So while it was our turn the play the tough NFC East and a pretty good AFC West, the Pats rotated into the AFC South and NFC West.

If my math isn't too bad, that means 14 of 16 opponents are decided regardless of a team's record the previous year.

Exactly. As some might wish to claim, it is not an arbitrary schedule designed by the NFL 'PTB'. Opponents (minus 2) are determined years in advance.

I think that johhnyroadtrip is wrong on some games. The opponents are correct. But remember they added that new rule last year that an East coast team can't play in San Diego and Oakland (or any other combination of west coast teams and vice versa for West coast teams) in the same season. They are trying to reduce the travel time for teams. As of last season this website was not updated.

On top of that, 2-3 teams in the AFC East have been non-competitive almost every season for the past decade.

    From the johnnyroadtrip website:

THE NFL ANNOUNCED that in future years, teams will travel to either Kansas City and San Diego OR to Oakland and Denver when playing the entire AFC West, and to San Francisco and Arizona OR to Seattle and St. Louis when playing the entire NFC West. The actual matchups have not yet been announced, so AFC West and NFC West opponents are subject to change. Matchups against AFC and NFC West teams beyond 2010 that are not confirmed appear in italics.

Houston vs. Dallas - the Texas Bowl

Dallas has a soft schedule and has already won their biggest road game. (except of course when we beat them here in October!)

Houston reminded me towards the end of the season last year of the 2000 Ravens with that front 7 being so dominating at times.. If Schaub is healthy I think they have a great shot.
