I'm pretty sure this is an error on MaxPreps... Edmondson plays Dunbar (4-1) on Friday, not Patterson on thursday... if you notice on the site they have Edmondson vs. Patterson twice, the Week 9 date is probably the right one.

They do play each other but you don't get many running clocks because most of the teams in FredCo are decent...Urbana(3A) did play Westminster(4A) they are different sized schools and West. pulled away late in a very competitve game. Urbana overall owns Westminister. I was commenting about MOCO schools. You forgot to mention Linganore (3A) playing BCC(4A). The last 2 years Linganore has given them a beat down and BCC was a playoff team????
Sorry, there are so many bad teams in MOCO -that is why most of the better teams in MOCO (that I mentioned before) end up with a running clock.

Due to a forfeit by Northwestern-PG of their Week 1 (Wheaton) and Week 2 (DuVal) games, DuVal's record goes from 6-1 to 7-0 as their 28-10 loss becomes a 2-0 forfeit win. and they re-join the ranks of the unbeaten

4A now has 4/49 Schools Undefeated

DuVal (7-0) This Week: @ Eleanor Roosevelt (5-2)

Come talk when these so called undefeated teams play a schedule like the MIAA schools do. The only reason they are defeated is because they hunt for better opponents to play. If they played a cream puff schedule like many, not all, of these so called undefeated teams played....they to would be undefeated.

Friends refuse to SFA, because of the Lutheran score. WOW i didn't think that could happen.

Friends was down to 13 players. They wanted a week to try to get healthy to play their last game. They probably would have forfeited regardless of the opponent, but the fact that SFA would try to put 100 up on them definitely influenced the decision.

SFA was offered an opportunity to play ECA but backed out.. They would rather take a forfeit and preserve perfect season rather than challenge the kids and play a decent opponent.. dont tell me about sanctioning stuff because MIAA teams can play them ie.. Spalding.. SFA was afraid a blow out would hurt their Miaa A campaign point blank.. By the way ECA would have smoked them...

No doubt, Education Comes After football would have destroyed SFA. They have had months to study film on this team and months at school practicing football and doing Honors math of how many reps does it take for a first down or better yet AP math David needs 80 yards for a TD, if our QB averages 10 yards a pass at what rate would he have a TD.

Funny but also ignorant of the facts... Look I get it and they are an easy target but even though I removed my kids to a traditional school they dont deserve this kind of ridicule,,, National Connections is a valid and respected online provider and they go to school and attend classes 8 am to 3 pm just like everyone else... it is what it is but give the kids a break they are students and they work hard in the classroom period.... whats even funnier is it is in defense of SFA which is where you go if you are 5th year senior or are academical ineligible and can transfer there and play.. seriously?

It is funny but what is even funnier

"even though I removed my kids to a traditional school they dont deserve this kind of ridicule"

So your mid year actions tell me you agree the school is a sham or you would still be there. I understand why you are defending, but you did not have to set the record straight and inform us you removed kids in favor of a traditional school.

Hey, I understand, you wanted it to work but it just didn't. If it was truly more than football your kids would still be there.

I wish you and all the kids at ECA nothing but luck.

Don't let a stupid message boards cause you to remove your kids from a school you once admittedly believed in.

I know, I know it wasn't the message board. It was the sudden Ah Ha moment you had. After only 3 games were played, Wait a minute this is not a school....

School is so much more than football, books, internet tests, etc. Kids need to be around kids....home schooled kids, yeah ok. But will those same kids adjust to the real world. Not sure...

Best of Luck...send your kids to the Hall. I heard he is a good player.

While we are on the subject the hypocrisy is astounding... what Sills did at Red Lion is no different than Dancel at Good Counsel or Poggi at Gilman.. or any other private school where a person put money in to build the football team.. The difference is is Sills son made news by getting offered at USC in 7th grade and jealousy took over from there...that is where it started,, couple that with black kids getting admitted to a 99 % white school and people went crazy... what is funny is Red Lion is now promoting a Trinity Training program modeled after Flash Training on campus LOL The whole thing was ridiculous and a joke . So yeah ECA is what it is but never should have been IMO...

I believed in the premise of the school and what was presented to us... If that had happened yes we may still be there... BUT they did not deliver mainly because the funding was not there.. if a kids only option to getting to college is a football scholarship then yes its a viable option.. my kids didn't fit that mold..

Look I am not saying it isn't a football factory per say because yes currently that is what it is BUT the kids do go to school and the curriculum is up to par... Just because the schooling is there doesn't mean it good for my kids,, one of my kids doesn't play sports so yeah it sucked for him

ECA isnt trying to say they are an academic power like Gilman... They are providing an avenue like olympic athletes , tennis athletes, golf etc get.. Its not traditional and they don't claim to be... They say they will train the kids, offer an academic path and and a way to get to college.. Thats it .. They are not saying if you dont get an athletic scholarship the academic program will get you to Princeton... but never in any of it do they preach or say sports are before academics period... obviously if there goal is a athletic scholarship they have to qualify academically .. that just the facts
