The first time I met Susan was at the get together at O'Lortan's in Westminster.
After she posted questions about who I was.
She contacted me and asked me out. I said "Why not?'
We had a nice evening at The Still in Timonium.

My heart was elsewhere, and I made that clear.

We remained friends on these boards.

She asked me out again to attend an awards banquet for her work, and I accepted. That was the last time I saw her.

Somewhere along the lines, there was a thread asking "Who would you like to buy lunch for?" She answered that she would like to buy me lunch for going out with her to her work's award banquet with her.
I never replied to that, but I always appreciated it.

Susan was a good heart, a good mother, and a strong personality.
I pray for her children, her family, but I know her good soul will be fine.

    Go in peace, my friend.

I remember that fest! It was a good one! Still the BEST fruit sangria I've ever had was from their bar. Thanks to you, Bud, O'Lourdan's is our 'go to' place when we are in that area.

Since Susan's passing, I've been looking at photos from the 'fests' we've had over the years. Good times and good memories.

This is indeed sad. Does anyone know what happened?

Hey dl, I'm here. I've been off the board for a couple of days, but came back today to this news and I'm in shock.

I do not remember the date but Warthog and I meant Susan at the Harbor Place in Baltimore. We had a great time.

Included were Hoot, Tidewaterbound, MsTaken, Sprightly and a few others I cannot remember.
That's where I met Susan, but she and I had talked before that because I ordered Tupperware from her and she brought it with her I believe. She was fun and bubbly that night, and I still have copies of pictures from that night that someone took. I think I also spoke with her at dfer's house.

May God Bless her and her family.

I'm almost speechless. I came on OM to post a funny Halloween video and saw this. I think I'll save that for another day.

IIRC, the first time I met Susan was at a lingerie party. Towelboy (I can't remember his poster name (I think he had a few)) was the model. I just saw her a couple of months ago. She was going the the dentist (who was also her cousin) in my neighborhood. And believe it or not, she just popped into my mind a couple of days ago. Condolences to her friends and family.

Astute Reader, to the best of my knowledge, Susan suffered a series of small strokes or TIA's and was in Genesis rehab the last few weeks of her life.

Emdot, I don't think it's any coincidence Susan popped in your mind the other day.

It was a lovely service this afternoon and the eulogies were really touching. Good to see a few posters there to pay their respects (I will not name them). I think I speak for all of us when I say how much our dear friend will be missed.

Well said, kiladyu. The hugs Dave and I received from our OM friends felt warm and comforting. Susan would have been touched to see the church so filled with the many people who's lives she touched.

    Rest In Peace, Punkin' Butta.

I'm sorry that I was unable to attend Susan's service this past weekend. My heart goes out to her family and friends, and in particular her children. Life can be so fleeting.

I hope that a collection for her kids can be arranged.

BB, maybe that is something that we can discuss at the fest to be held in Susan's honor.

There will be a get together Saturday, 10 November, from 2-7 p.m. at the Ropewalk Tavern, 1209 South Charles Street, in Baltimore. Donations will be accepted on behalf of her children.

They expanded the bar area on the other side of where the pool tables were.

The pool table room is all tables now and the door has been made into a large folding one that can open to a walk out patio.

And the pool tables are all the way in the back, and another upstairs.

    Business is certainly good.

Aww.. you're buying me a new car?
