One of my favorites. I still think that Uncle Tupelo was better than Sun Volt and Wilco but Wilco has been trying hard to prove me wrong. Sunvolt's Trace was fantastic and the other albums good. But Wilco expanded and experimented in so many styles. They left Americana behind long ago.

It is funny because I always thought Anodyne sounded a lot like the Everybody Knows This Is Nowhere album.
Wilco's sound is their own. It was the Uncle Tupelo sound that was more Neil Youngish.
Nels Cline was a fantastic add to that band, but damn are those some talented guys behind Tweedy (who is an amazing lyricist in his own right)...
