We hear the above every year and every year you guys are proven wrong!!![]()
How many of you thought the Yankees would take a giant step back this past season??Instead they finished with the best record in the league and in the post season again.
Anybody that says they prefer the Orioles teams of the last 10 or 15 seasons over the Yankees teams in the same period is either delusional and blind or simply a lier, unable to put personal feelings aside.
The Orioles had ONE good season this past year, nothing that is guaranteed to happen again next year, and now you want to discount the previous 14 years as if they never happened??![]()
I’m looking forward to what the masses on here will be saying if the O’s turn back to their old ways and end up as most expected them to finish this season!!![]()
With a post like this on an Orioles board you are either delusional or a liar, phoney and a fraud, because any true Yankee fan I know is not happy with how the Yankees have been finishing, not making the WS anymore year after year with all that talent and payroll. Face it, they are a failure, much moreso than the Orioles who where an overwhelming success story this year.
You're absolutely correct on that point. If prior awareness was a prerequisite for existence, the O's would have only won 64 or 65 games this past year based on the absence of awareness on the part of you and Ken. Fortunately for the O's and O's fans everywhere, I had full awareness of their dramatic turnaround and surge to the playoffs before the season and the O's responded accordingly.
By the way, the O's will go 84-78 next year and miss the playoffs with or without Mark Reynolds. Take it to the bank - it's a sure thin'. (How's my slang?)
