These fans would "give up" on the Yankees if they were to go into a tailspin (see 1965-1975 - again in 1982-1993, when the Yankees were mostly mediocre - there were far fewer Yankees fans then), these same fans would find another team to cling onto...it's kinda sad actually.
That's a perfect description of joe cool. Only thing missing was the trolling of an opposing team messageboard.

I know that you guys are all happy with your ONE little winning season this PAST year but you should really take a chill pill and calm down. Don’t let the emotions of having ONE good season in a decade and a half make you think that your team is actually now special.

There are many, experts and not, who think the O’s of this season were more of a FLUKE than a team ready to contend consistently for many year to come. I happen to think that IF, and a BIG IF, they actually go out and PAY to get the best available players out there this off season they MAY be able to stick around for a couple of years. But if they go out on the CHEAP, as usual, I believe they will fall back a lot closer to their normal place in the standings.

If that should occur I wonder how many of the BIG MOUTHS on here now will be around talking smack?? I know that no matter what MIRICLE happened with the O’s this season ANYBODY who doesn’t wear orange colored glasses while drinking a tall glass of orange kool aid would pick the Yankees of the last 10-15 years over the wO’es 100% of the time.

I’m really looking forward to this off season and next year, it will be pretty interesting around here if the O’s are unable to repeat their miracle again!! LOL
Man, does your life must suck.

We hear the above every year and every year you guys are proven wrong!!

How many of you thought the Yankees would take a giant step back this past season?? Instead they finished with the best record in the league and in the post season again.

Anybody that says they prefer the Orioles teams of the last 10 or 15 seasons over the Yankees teams in the same period is either delusional and blind or simply a lier, unable to put personal feelings aside.

The Orioles had ONE good season this past year, nothing that is guaranteed to happen again next year, and now you want to discount the previous 14 years as if they never happened??

I’m looking forward to what the masses on here will be saying if the O’s turn back to their old ways and end up as most expected them to finish this season!!

With a post like this on an Orioles board you are either delusional or a liar, phoney and a fraud, because any true Yankee fan I know is not happy with how the Yankees have been finishing, not making the WS anymore year after year with all that talent and payroll. Face it, they are a failure, much moreso than the Orioles who where an overwhelming success story this year.

Let's hope that Joe Cool's life is not as bad as your grasp of the English language. "Man, does your life must suck" indeed.

Sure did - I was never taught that " ' " were substitues for "g" in a word.

if you being aware of something, was a prerequisite for that thing's existance, the world would be missing many of wonderful things it has to offer.

I lived here all 115 years of my life. Back when I went to school, they didn't teach that slang was proper English.

You're absolutely correct on that point. If prior awareness was a prerequisite for existence, the O's would have only won 64 or 65 games this past year based on the absence of awareness on the part of you and Ken. Fortunately for the O's and O's fans everywhere, I had full awareness of their dramatic turnaround and surge to the playoffs before the season and the O's responded accordingly.

By the way, the O's will go 84-78 next year and miss the playoffs with or without Mark Reynolds. Take it to the bank - it's a sure thin'. (How's my slang?)

Or would have won 95 in 2011 or 2012 like you predicted. Neither which happened

It's fortunate that this message board has grammar police like yourself. Now you can correct people's grammar (while at the same time screwing up your own) just like you brag about your great predictions (which technically don't come true).

    Keep up the good work.
