Not at all, shame the animals were shooting at the NG's and they had ample warning to get out.

Do you think the guy that is the president would have put someone in charge who would have had enough water in place or maybe he just did not think.........?

FEMA failed to have any meaningful supplies of bottled water -- or any other supplies, for that matter -- stored in nearby facilities as it had proclaimed it would on its website. This was the case despite several days advance warning of the impending storm.
FEMA only began to solicit bids for vendors to provide bottled water for distribution to Hurricane Sandy victims on Friday, sending out a solicitation request for 2.3 million gallons of bottled water at the FedBizOpps.gov website. Bidding closed at 4:30 pm eastern.

I find the quote ironic coming from a website advocating small Constitutional government. Again the storm area was larger and forcasted to be larger. Having the water already there would have laid wast to it. FEMA comes in and picks up the pieces the state is on their own until they get there. In contrast to Katrina FEMA has been there faster.

And your statement that Romney running for President "should have thought it out better" is not the same that the current President should have had someone in position who would thought to have the water in a better spot isn't the same because the president is your guy.

Where this information come from is immaterial... it's the action comparing the two. Your "my guy is better" than "your guy" is pathetic at best.

And you know that the water pre-positioned would not had worked, is a guess only....

We are not asking for material donations,” said Laura Steinmetz, spokeswoman for the South Jersey Region of the organization. “Financial donations allow us to quickly and efficiently meet the needs of the people in a disaster. It’s far more expensive for us to receive the donated goods, sort them, warehouse them and transport them. So our financial donations are much more cost effective.”

    ...

“We’ve always done that with all our disasters,” she said. “It’s the quickest, most efficient way to get what the people need. It’s not that we’re turning down or turning away a donation. We’re just trying to direct it in the most cost effective way.”

The Red Cross website also promotes financial contributions and discourages donations of supplies saying the latter “impedes the valuable resources of money, time and personnel.
Right from the horse's mouth, again.

How dare he hinder the Red Cross's way......... he should have sold the blankets on the streets and then given the money to the Red Cross, right Calamari?

"Retired NYPD cop Michael Dyer became just one more example of New Yorkers’ altruistic spirit, driving a truck packed with 300 blankets from his home in Omaha, Neb., Saturday night to the city’s needy yesterday."

See this is different. These Marines did their own work and distribution and did not dump off the distribution work on another group to handle.

Maybe Romneys' efforts would be appreciated more if he didn't give anything to the Red Cross.

Romney and Ryan seemed to be fish out of water in the soup kitchen and the 'set up' donation/rally.

So you think that Romney should have done nothing and given nothing so that you could post a headline that stated that he did nothing right?

Nice job spinning this into politics instead of the charitable acts that they are. I don't even see Obama doing this sort of thing, so you've really lowered the bar.

Meanwhile these people are freezing and starving to death. Might be a good thing, did NY not vote for Bobo? Now if Broward and Miami counties would get wiped out by a hurricane...........
