Thanks for the correction, there were several games with the home/road teams incorrectly flipped for some reason this week. I'm sure there are a few others as well.

    Default Loyola MCD Prediction

MCD knocks off Loyola in a barnburner at Blakefield 24-21. MCD doesn't believe in special teams so they'll miss four straight PATs.

If not for the all day City/Poly tailgate and the accompanying huge rivalry game, I'd be at Loyola to cheer on the Dons as they put McDonogh's miserable 2012 season to a pitiful end. It's true that McDonogh has been a thorn in CHC's side but my wish for an Eagles loss is solely based on the possibility that the whirlwind bromance between Greyhound Alum & EaglesInsider will be quashed until it regrettably reignites next August with GA proclaiming Gilman's historic rival, "The Second Best in all the Land."

Btw, the Tailgate has been moved to 791 W. Ostend St. Looking forward to seeing the usual suspects from the board and maybe First Down will grace us with his presence.

I put that the tailgate was moved this week. Wasn't sure if you and 85 were putting the tailgate together this year. I think we will have some new board members come this year. I have been in LA all week, so have been a little behind reaching out to guys but will today.

I would grace the presence but I want to see the pubs, maybe the battle of the undefeated Middletown and Walkesville or Kent Island and Queen Anne's. I'll need to see the schedule for Saturday. But I just may drop in on the Hokie Title game; that is, if it's going to be the Dual of the Duds. I just may want to see that one, a sure classic wouldn't you say. After all, I need to see for myself what you all will be yaking about for the next year and see who's credible and who's not when we "hi-jack" all the threads with our privates non-sense.

He's talking about publics! It's City-Poly! The oldest game in the whole country! There's a legendary tailgate before the game. If you have never been, you have missed one of the best high school experiences ever!

Nah, the best high school experience ever was me and DebraM behind the bleachers in the stadium while the homecoming dance was taking place in the gym. But that's another issue. So when is the City-Poly game again and where? I'm in the Hagerstown area today.

It's tomorrow at noon I believe. It might be 1pm. Will be at M&T/Ravens stadium. The tailgate starts early. Some of the board will be there. Always a great time. I wil be there with a large bottle of Jack Daniels.

Hardly the oldest game in the whole country, not sure if it's even in the top 10. Oldest in the State, yes.

You are correct, I meant one of the oldest games in The Country. As far as when the first game was played, the game is the 10th oldest Rivalry. But it's the second longest continual rivalry in the WHOLE COUNTRY behind the Boston Latin School versus the Boston English High School game.

City and Poly are publics. Maybe they do not count outstate.
