I assume your comments are in jest. Are you aware that Nick Johnson was injured and unable to play practically the entire year? Are you aware, that Hall of Famer Vlad the Impaler played the entire 2011 season and was not on the DL? Are you aware that Toronto signed the Impaler?

Even though you both favor Nick Johnson, I will limit my criticism to your demonstrable lack of baseball judgment rather than hypothesize on Nick's parentage.
actually I DO NOT disagree with Vlad over Nick "no stick" Johnson

I do however disagree with you interjecting it into every thread

come on Hector let's move past it....please

Surely you jest! Do you seriously doubt that Hall of Famer Vlad the Impaler could have produced more than Nick Johnson did in 2012? In fact, a dead man could have outproduced Nick the Stickless.

And yet, on the Major League level, Nick Johnson, in fact, outproduced Vlad in 2012.

Here's where hector will ask you if you think signing Nick Johnson to replace Vlad was a good idea regardless of the fact that NJ was never the fulltime DH.

It seems inaccurate to call a signing a "bust" when it cost next to nothing to try. In the position the Orioles were in it was worth a try to bring in all sorts of long shots on the chance you might get something out of them. They took a chance (among other long shots who did not stick) on Joe Saunders and Nate McLouth and Miguel Gonzales and they won.

As to Vlad, they knew what they had and chose to pass based on value. The season result would seem to indicate it was a good call.

I imagine we'll still be seeing hector lamenting the Orioles not signing Vlad to be on the Oriioles' active roster in 2020.
