I hope no-one got hurt in Sandy's path of destruction. The entire upper East coast got devastated(yes.we do have TV in Pittsburgh!) I hope everyone and their families were ok.

South of Atlantic City and westward got lucky that is for sure, except Garrett County Blizzard and Crisfield on the shore, flood. Lost power for a few days but nothing. Now ask me how I feel after Sunday!!
Never lost power. It wasn't as bad as expected.
Weir how storms affect places right next to each other differently. sister has beach house in Lewes, oceanfront. No damage at all, right across the bay in Jersey, devastation. God bless those folks.
I did not lose power although nearby Fairfax County in Northern Virginia had to be briefly evacuated as well as power outages in that area for a day or so. I have egg on my face as I bought 5 gallons of water from the grocery store last Saturday thinking that the power in Montgomery County, Maryland would be out for days.
Dodged a bullet in NE Md. The eye of that thing passed over us. It got dead calm and the temperature rose to 60 degrees for about 11/2 hours. When it passed the winds came from the opposite direction, much harder then before it passed over. Very eerie.
