Baltimore city is a predominantly black city. Poor residents are primarily black.

There are many issues with the crime in American cities. But no one cares to change things for the better. Put more and more people in jail and we already have more people in jail per capita than any other country.

Look at the causes of violence in our cities and work toward fixing them. national ban on guns. Raise taxe rates on the rich which are ridiculously low. Increase the minimum wage to 15 dollars an hour. Work on getting rid of corruption in government. Start public works projects that employs the poor people of our nation. If you are an adult you have to work if you stay in pubic housing. Build bike lanes and parks. Provide free public education through college. Provide health care for everyone.

No the connection I see is the republicans live in the suburbs and don't care about our cities. They let them become crime ridden wastelands. While living in their generic suburbs. But violent cities hurt all of us. The cities can't be fixed by themselves. We are one country and one state. And the democrat/republican thing is all BS anyway. Similar policies. And similar corruption.

I think you'll find the more revealing commonality is not looks (appearance) but rather socio-economic (culture); but why spend all the time actually reading the book when we can just look at the cover !

How is it that men and women who weren't born here ( I'm not talking about O ) and can hardly speak English can illegally come here and find jobs? See my point? People who live here who cannot find jobs are for the most part lazy. I have zero sympathy for them or their benefactors the democrats. It's their lives who are ruined not mine, say what you want about suburanites, it's the city dwellers who live wasted lives fertilized by democrat politicians telling them they're victims.

Forget giving them jobs, if you give them free phones, and free money, they will like you more.

As for the City residents who would want a job and really want to earn their wages, what kind of job would you suggest? Many good businesses are FLEEING the City due to over taxing and corruption.

Republicans in the suburbs don't care about the Cities?

Why should they?

Baltimore extorts millions in taxes from the suburbs and that money goes down the tubes. Yet, when someone in the county demands the City audit itself, the MD taxpayers are told that it is none of their business.

The City may not be able to fix itself, but until it wants to at least TRY, then don't blame the suburbanities for the City's woes.
