Default I have to admit, I hope the Colts keep doing well.

How can you not wish them well when you read something like this?

INDIANAPOLIS (AP) -- Chuck Pagano provided the inspiration, then Andrew Luck delivered a record-setting performance in yet another win for the surprising Indianapolis Colts .

After a 23-20 victory over Miami, the ailing coach offered even more encouragement.

Picked by many to be among the NFL's weakest team, the rebuilding Colts are now in the playoff conversation at 5-3.

"I mentioned before the game that you guys were living in a vision, and you weren't living in circumstances," Pagano said Sunday, surrounded by his players and with interim Bruce Arians at his side after the Colts' third straight win. "You know where they had us in the beginning, every last one of them. But you refused to live in circumstances and you decided consciously as a team and as a family to live in a vision, and that's why you bring things home like what you bring home today. That's why you're already champions and well on your way.

Luck wasn't too concerned that he had just broken Cam Newton 's year-old record for yards passing in a game by a rookie or even that his team had another victory. He just wanted to live up to the message from his coach, who has been receiving treatment for leukemia since being diagnosed on Sept. 26.

"His presence is felt every day in the facility," Luck said. "But to see him in the flesh, in the locker room, to hear him speak I think gave all the guys a boost."

It seemed to give Pagano a boost, too.

"I've got circumstances. You guys understand it, I understand it," Pagano told them. "It's already beat. It's already beat. My vision that I'm living is to see two more daughters get married, dance at their weddings and then lift the Lombardi Trophy several times. I'm dancing at two more weddings and we're hoisting that trophy together, men. Congratulations, I love all of you."

Forget numbers - every team has di*khead fans. Go get em guys. Just don't beat the Ravens.

I wouldn't mind if the Colts did well.
They might make the Playoffs but they certainly won't be the Colts of old for along time to come again.
And fortunately there aren't anymore Colt trolls here at Sunspot.

I agree. I loved that speech and have nothing against that team.

I have been feeling the same way ever since Pagano arrived there and locker combo left here. I also like to see a quality person such as Luck get his due. I must admit though I was sorry to see Cory Redding on TV yesterday, we sure need him here. Sorry JJ I love you too but Upshaw is handling your roll just fine.

Wouldn't it be ironic if the Colts ended up with the same or a better record than the Ravens?

After all, the prevailing sentiment here has been that the Ravens are wonderful and the Colts suck. So to turn that on its head is the epitome of irony, don't you think?

    And that wasn't true?

Up til now. But heading into this season, no one was willing to give the Colts any cred for having improved. And no one was willing to see or accept that the Ravens had fallen a notch or two. That's the irony.

Why would anyone give the Colts credit? They were pitiful on both sides of the ball last season.

Count me in among the Luck fans. I knew coming out of school this guy would be legit and then some. Glad that he's finally starting to get some national shine now that the RGIII hype has quieted a tiny bit. But we'll be comparing these two for the next decade or so at least.

Anyway it's great to see the Colts as a whole doing well. Especially with what their coach is going through and Luck being such a humble and likable guy. It all just makes for a really feel good story.

If the season ended today (which it doesn't), the Colts would be the first wild card (ahead of the Steelers), and would play the Broncos. Now, that, is ironic.

    Oh...the irony.

(Clue: Because things change from year to year. Except in some Ravenland's fan's heads.)

Yes, things change on the field. Not on paper. Why would I give a 2-win team credit for improving before they hit the field and prove it? Buffalo and KC were considered greatly improved before the season started...

Give it a rest, man. The non-stop Colt bashing on this board is well documented. So don't come around and try to use some pseudo-sincere logic to deny it. It's the refusal to see things without blinders on that's the real irony here, both with regard to the Ravens and the Colts. So just cut the BS and man up, or shut up.

Huh? Oh, do you think I hate the Colts because they left Baltimore? Guess what, don't care since I was 3 when that happened.

Maybe you should cut your own BS. You talk about wanting football discussions, yet get a little attitude whenever anyone disagrees with you.

It has nothing to do with disagreeing with football issues or what your attitude is about the Colts leaving or how old you were at the time. It has to do with trying to pusssy out and deny the non-stop Colt bashing that's gone on on this board as if it never happened. And of course, the irony of looking up and seeing the possibility of the Colts outplaying the Ravens in 2012.

Colts got bashed last year because they were horrible. Whatever else your going on about has nothing to do with me.

    Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz.

(Granted...it does take a certain amount of intelligence to actually understand irony, and the fact that it wasn't about last year, it was about being unable to see changes made and how that affects THIS year, both for the Colts and the Ravens. But I'm sure you weren't a part of that either, were you? Or you never saw those posts, did you?)
