Police have charged a 16-year-old from Westminster as an adult for the August armed robbery of a Westminster grocery store.
I agree with the "charged as an adult" but question the wisdom of releasing him on such a small bond. Armed robbery and 2nd deg burglary are pretty serious charges for young Mr Jackson, ones that could see him sent away for 20+ years. Seems like a good reason to flee Westminster and not appear at trial.Kyle Andrew Dawan Jackson, is charged with eight criminal counts including armed robbery and conspiracy to armed robbery. He was released Sunday from the Carroll County Detention Center on $50,000 bond.
The juvenile told police they robbed the store because they needed money for a party the following night, according to court documents.
Jackson is also facing burglary charges from a July 20 incident at College Square Liquors, which is located in the same shopping center as Safeway.
