    FREDERICK -- The Maryland High School Football State Poll, in its 23rd year, is based on a statewide voting by sports reporters. Schools are ranked by points received. The number in parenthesis reflects first-place votes. LW is last week’s ranking. The rankings are compiled by Sheldon Shealer.

    I believe St. Pauls should be higher. I believe in the top 10. Gwynn Park and Douglass both struggled with a terrible Friendly team. They both need to move to the 3a/4a league in Prince Georges. That 1a/2a league is terrible. perryville hasn't beaten anybody at the level in this poll. Where is South River didn't they just beat Old Mill?
