Angry Army of Jack-booted Thugs Used for Foreclosure Eviction

IDAHO SPRINGS - A two-county SWAT team was sent to a home in Idaho Springs to evict a 63-year-old woman. The eviction happened last Tuesday, according to Captain Bruce Snelling with the Clear Creek County Sheriff's Department.....

....SWAT team members with assault rifles were sent in because two dozen protesters joined 63-year-old Sahara Donahue. The protesters were part of a group called the Colorado Foreclosure Resistance Coalition, which is part of the Occupy movement.

The group's spokesperson said they were there to help prevent officers from kicking Donahue out of her home."We expected one or two sheriff's deputies to show up, instead what we had was ten vans show up," Darren O'Connor, a member of the coalition, said....

How pathetic is that. A SWAT team used to kick out a little old lady. A SWAT team! Afterall, we can't have all of these security state "assets" lying around and not use them. Right?

I guess if Amendment 64 passes they wont be able to do that to hippies with a half ounce of pot any more. So they're trying their tactics on old ladies

Too bad but these fools shouldn't be associated with part of the Occupy movement.

Besides sadly she lost, maybe she should blame Dodd, Barney Fwannnk and Bobo.

Would the "protesters" have respected simply the sheriff doing the eviction?

No, but I'm sure they would have gotten the same result if two cars rolled up. The lady was evicted, she "earned" the eviction. The sheriff didn't need an assault rifle wielding team of paramilitary forces to do the job.

Pretty soon they'll be taking down jaywalkers with deadly force. I don't know who started this sad state of affairs, but they damn well ought to put an end to it. We are not yet a police state, though I fear we are becomng one.

Hell, are these the same goons who raided Gibson Guitar and snatched Elian Gonzalez? I mean, it's a tough and scary job evicting an old lady but, luckily, we have people willing to put their lives on the line.

Nor did the woman need 24 Occupy protesters to interfere with the sheriff doing his job.

To be fair, the SWAT guys were probably there because of the Occutards and not because of the 63 year old lady. Still, it is overkill.
