Wow........................that was unexpected! This was the proper decision, based on what little I know. Glad to see that the NCAA did the right thing.

Glad to see Turgeon and the AD push this to try and get him cleared. Glad the NCAA did the right thing as well.

So a guy who has played one year on an Atlantic 10 team and averaged ten points and five rebounds makes the Terps an immediate contender? The Terps have lots of potential but there is no one proven on the team yet.

Len, Wells, Faust and Howard all have questions to answer as the season begins. Can Len play 30+ minutes without tiring? Can Faust find his jumpshot .... and some self control? Can Pe be a legitimate healthy playmaker? Among the newbies can Layman step up as a freshman?

This team has much to be optimistic about but top 25 is a long way off. Mitchell and Clear will fuel a potent front court with Len and Padgett but Howard is no top 25 team's playmaker. And, someone needs to prove themselves a capable outside shooter. Maybe that guy is eventually Layman but lets be real about how much uncertainty remains.

This team will be top 25 when either Howard proves himself or Roddy steps in. That's not today but it might be in the cards come December 2013. This season is all about watching the youth grow.

Time will tell. Hell, we will know a lot by this weekend. But I think they will play well and contend in the ACC. If nobody gets hurt and nothing goes drastically wrong I think they dance in the spring and will be ranked at various times during the season.

Wells is projected to be NBA level Guard and will probably leave early, yes he makes them much better.
