Default Did President Obama's re-election bring out the nasty in people?

From comment sections of Yahoo to a online news comment section, has President Obama's re-election bring the nasty ness out of people?

Now his first term, the comments and negative personal insults occurred as well so this is nothing new. I believe conservative talk radio helps fuel the hate as well, 365/Year and let's say 290 shows weekly during the year spewing the same hate over and over and over again can stir a

Uneducated mind to a bad direction

Why is Barry Obama such a vile, desperate racist?

And why does his cheap grifter wife hate America so much?

    Partisan rhetoric begets partisan rhetoric.

I saw so much taunting and nasty talk on face book and twitter that there is bound to be a reaction.

    Aholes on both sides.

You should have posted a link to the article in question. That is always helpful.

I find it Ironic that the Constitutional Conservatives are unwilling to accept the results of the very process laid out in our Constitution!!!!

The nastiness was already there. Both sides have fueled it for decades now. It works to their favor. It keeps people voting for their party to insure the evil other party doesn't get the power. The side that loses will always be nasty. Take a trip back to 2000 and check out what happened when the supreme court stopped the recounts. Even though all of the constitutional processes were followed, countless people said immediately after the decision that Bush would never be their president. It works both ways, and doesn't promise to ease up as long as the partisanship continues.

Not like Obama won such a great victory. We'll see what the popular vote difference was after Florida comes in.

... and they don't see it. In fact, they'll say accepting the results of the election is Un-Constitutional or Un-American.

If you watch, you'll see more and more that they accuse Democrats (or the boogey man of the month) for doing the very thing they themselves do.

    Ex:
    - get emotional and believe "from the heart" (see the point of this very thread)
    - that others increase the size of government (see Reagan, Bush, Bush for real Gov't growth)
    - that others increase the national debt (see Reagan, Bush, & Bush for debt growth)
    - that liberals are "activist" judges (see Judge Alito who admitted to being activist)
    - that liberals are obstinate (see "Tea Party" that oathed to fight Obama at every turn)

    I could go on...
